Just look at the draw odds and results. There's plenty of hunts that have leftover permits after the draw. Basically that means if you put one of those in any one of ur 5 choices you're gonna get a tag. And that doesn't mean its a bad hunt. A lot of the southern unit coues hunts are great hunts and easy to draw. What part of the state are u looking to hunt?

If you're sticking to roasts, steaks and jerkey you'll love that grinder. There's a lot of meat and trimmings that can be ground up that dont make it as steak. Even some of the tougher less desirable cuts. You know the ones you end up left with after you've gone thru all the good stuff. Make sure you add some pork fat.

You can't force em. My oldest son loved camping , fishing, hunting all thorugh his younger yrs. got to be a teenager and wanted nothin to do with it. At 15 he said he wanted to put in for deer. Got drawn and was unsuccessful. Next yr gor drawn again and killed his first deer. Thought for sure he'd be hooked but next yr didn't even wanna put in.
