They did the same thing for me. I'd had my Vipers for a few years. No questions. I recently emailed Leupold about lost adjustment caps expecting the same service even offering them to buy and never even got a response.

Def vortex. Like hornhunter said find some used vipers or save up another 200 and go new. Well worth the extra $. I went thru several cheaper binos before I got the vipers and couldnt be happier with them.

Ok reduced again. $800 obo for the 500! This is a heck of a deal. New is over 1k. This one only has 35 rounds thru it. Do the math.

Benadryl works for that.A friend recently had the same thing happen to her dog and the vet mistakenly thought it was from a snake. Turns out he had chewed on something that lodged in his gum and got badly infected. She said the dogs breath smelled really bad....so give it a sniff or look around the dogs mouth too to make sure it's not something inside the mouth causing overall swelling.
Ahh the sniff test. Works for a lot of things. I would think if it were a rattlesnake there would be obvious puncture wounds?
I've heard of a lot of dogs gettin bit by rattle snakes and recovering just fine. Hope she's ok.
