  1. What are the benefits of having a ccw?

One of the benefits of a CCW is being able to legally carry inside a bar or restaurant that serves liqour. You just can't drink while carrying.

You still cannot carry if it is posted "no firearms". There is no difference wether or not you have a CCW.

  2. What are the benefits of having a ccw?

Not many other than not having to do the backround check when buying guns from a dealer. For me that's always a pain because I was born in Japan. So every single time my app gets delayed and I have to wait 2-3 days. Only other thing I can think of is it's honored in several other states where you are required to have a CCW (how often are we in other states?). I had retaken my class just before the new law was passed or I probly wouldnt' have even bothered. It's not like I'm buying new guns every other day.

  3. Seriously? I took the CCW class soon as I turned 21 and then had forgotten to renew it so I sat throught the whole thing again about 4 yrs ago. That woulda been nice to know back then.

I will say though, after sitting through the class twice there were definatley folks in both classes that probably have no business carrying a firearm or a sharp stick for that matter.

  4. Excellent mix there. I have a 1/2 Aussie and 1/2 heeler mix and she's the bout the smartest dog I've ever had. Very loyal, VERY protective, and couldn't be better with my 3 yr old. Good luck and someone will be gettin some good pups.

  5. Seriously? Just post your picture. Hanging it, field dressing it, skinning it, quatering it up or whatever the heck you want. This is a frickin hunting site. If people don't want to see dead animals don't go to a hunting site and certainly don't open threads where people or showing off thier kills. Yes I said kills.

  6. I haven't hunted that area as it's new for the limited op hunt. I did the round valley limited op hunt a few times. The FS roads are always locked but the game warden will open them for the hunt (at least they did for the round valley hunt). If you can hike in on those roads pre season you'll have a better idea of what you'll be looking at during the hunt. I know the last time I did that hunt they didn't open the gates until later opening morning so don't worry if they're not open 1st thing. Also if you get an elk down somewhere in there thats tough to get to and there are locked gates for FS roads you can call the game warden and they'll let you in as well. Those hunts are tough, have very limited access and require a lot of hiking. Good luck

  7. Well how'd you guys do? It was a tough hunt but my wife finally got one on Sat evening off of a water tank. First elk we seen in 7 days of hunting. Guess that's why they call it a limited opportunity hunt. It was definately that.
