So how do I talk my husband into spending $500 on Kuiu? should be a one time purchase that would help me be prepared and comfortable while out and about outdoors. Hmmmmm.

2 years ago my wife had a limited op cow elk hunt up in 3a/4b. In the letter she got from g & f it specifically addressed that issue and said it WAS a violation to do just that. It took me by suprise as well as I never thought of it that way. I always assumed it would be ok. If you really think about it you are spotting the game and then getting in your vehicle to get closer. Is that not using the vehicle as an aid? I bet it would hold up in court. Not that I agree with it at all but I would be curious to know.
A while back someone on here posted thier story of thier kill and it had said that they had done just that to get closer to a deer for his daughter. Since we all know g & f monitors sights as this one I was curios to see if anything would come of it.

I'd go with the 14" and flip the axle. You'll have plenty of clearance. I did it with my 6' x 4' trailer that I had made to pull behind my jeep and have 15" wheels. It sits level with my lifted jeep with 35" tires.

If your heading from the Circle K towards the reservation the 300 rd is just before you enter the res. You can't miss it. It's a main road. If you see the sign that says your entering the res just turn around I believe it's bout 1/4 mile (if that) just before that. The 300 rd is the boundry between the res and state side in that area. As you get farther towards Heber the boundry seperates and you have about half a mile gap between the 300 and the res. Lots of elk in there.

I like it. I say you name him whatever the heck you want. If other kids make fun of him just make sure you teach him how to fight. First kid that says anything gets punched in the mouth and that will end that real quick.

Which limited op hunt? There's 3 diff ones. If it's the antelope mountain hunt I can help some. My wife and step mom killed 2 on that hunt last year.

The exact same thing happened to my dad a few yrs ago the last time they did the online draw. He had entered the wrong expiration date when he applied, the app went thru and so did the app fee since it was such a low $ amount. Results were posted, showed him as drawn and a few days later the results showed that his card was rejected somethin just like yours did. Like mulie hunter said its a differnt story over $7 and something over $100. My dad called and spoke to someone and explained all this and they gave him a tag. Sounds like theyre being a little more strict on all this this year but worth a shot.

It was pretty cut and dry that he cheated. He's guilty. Hang his a$$. Guess I wont make the cut for his jury. That's if they ever get around to filing charges. Supposedly its coming.

Seems odd that a competitor looked in the livewell for unknown reasons and found a fish. Sounds fishy? Be a good way to thin out competition. And woudnt you at lest have a secret spot to hide the fish if you tried it?

Not odd at all. The guy that checked the livewell and found the fish had seen him at Saguaro the day before. Like Jim said it's not hard to hear the livewell running. The dumb a$$ was a well known guide and tournament fisherman too and had won quite a bit of $ in the past.

Okay lets say party "A" put in for 5B north with CC and results were posted he got drawn BUT later his cc
was rejected (insuff funds). Now applicant "B" put in for 5B north as well and he is the next in line and his draw results say Not Drawn but being A got rejected they then give it to B. Now B thinks he did not get drawn but low and behold his tag shows up sometime in April and he is happy dude. I don't know how they are going to do it but it seems they are trying something new this year.
The last year they had the online apps for elk I knew someone that got a call from the G&F after the results were posted (her results were not drawn). They were asked if they still wanted a cow tag for 6a as they were next in line and someones CC did not fund for some reason or another and they ended up with a cow tag.
So just because you don't get drawn at first there's always hope for a miracle.

Look at the map. 6a side of Lake Mary Rd you can for elk only. 5b side of the road not allowed at all.
