Just so everyone knows the Game and Fish has been working hard with the FS to look at this whole access issue. We have had quite a few meetings and things are definately looking positive for being able to get back into the forest. Some of the flooding concerns are coming to pass as most of the forest roads have already washed out to some extent. For instance where hannagan creek hits the 26 road it has already flooded about to windshield height. Hwy 191 is already undercutting along hannagan creek and may wash out completely with a good storm. The 24 road is about gone from Bear creek around to the 576, at least where all the drainages cross. Anyway, I don't want to post too much at this point as alot of the access we are working on is preliminary and things could change drastically with one good storm. I will be doing a presentation at the AES hunter clinic on the 30th if anyone is interested in some more info. I will hopefully have some more info myself by then and I will have maps and pics that we can go over. All I ask is patience as this thing is ugly now and may get uglier by the end of the monsoon. Aaron Aaron, Thanks for the effort to get the tagholders in the unit. Your updates are appreciated.

Wife's 2010 opening morning archery buck

Nice pic and nice buck. -
There was a geotechnical report done a while back about the chemical properties of AZ soils and some areas had soil properties that reacted adversely to salt. You can send me the coordinates of your location and I will check for results. We've used deer cocaine on our land in the south, and it works OK. They love rice bran, but we need enough demand to get some stocked out here in AZ. Cabelas has sacks of deer corn in now, so maybe some day.

Anyone got a pic of a Javelina Euro mount with the bottom jaw included?

That NR class is for those who have training/certification in another state already. Still sounds fishy that one class gets credited right away and the other waits until after next draw.

I don't know about the buck looking similar to the Goodman thread buck, but the terrain looks like units apart.

Yep, I think it may have been harvested also. If we knew where that pic was taken, that would help solidify our speculation.

There are areas in the country like western OR and western WA, that you would'nt hunt at all if you did'nt hunt in the rain.

opinions, advice, etc. for a Coues greenhorn

Hopefully, you asked potential outfitters these same questions before you selected one. What was their answers to these questions. I would have probably been asking these questions on the forum to get an idea, before selecting an outfitter. Good Luck. -
I have a Midland and have no problem communicating to guys with rinos.

I use the Mr. Buddy in my 6 man tent, but turn it off after the tent is warm at bedtime. It gets too hot if left on.
