Has any one shot the easton flatline arrows and what do you think about them. I am ready to buy some different arrows. Just wondering

I have read what every one is saying about calling to much, and it makes sense that the elk would get call shy. But I had heard somewere that in pre rutt, calling alot with a sequence of cow calls for twenty or thirty minutes, and then if after 20 minutes, nothing shows, move far enough away to where the calls couldn't be heard then repeat the sequence and if heard most of the time the bull will come in quite. This year looks like the rut won't get started till the end of the hunt and this might be a good thing to try. I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if it worked, my wife and I have our first bull tags this year.

I have glassed up the same buck and his eight does (mule deer) the last three weekends and tried different approaches, all with the same outcome, not even a shot, the closest i could get was 100 yards. I have watched them feeding up the hill and tried to get were i thought they were going, only to have then pass by out of range, and i have walked around them down wind and tried to move slowly into range, always busted before i see them. Any help or something that has worked in the past for you. thank you i still have two weekends left maybe all get lucky.

My daughter Brittany is 15 and this was her first hunt. Did alot of scouting and seen alot of nice bucks, elk, and bear it was alot of fun and a great experince for the both of us. I decided to sit a water hole after I had sat there all of bear season (bear never came in till I was taking down the stands and female harvest was met oh well next year) alot of deer were coming in and I didn't want her to have to shoot to far. The dates and times are wrong I know. I knew there was a few nice bucks in the area and getting them at the hole was going to be lucky. I really just wanted her to have fun see some animals and we did. So we started her hunt hoping to have a chance at one of those bucks. We decided that after the first two days we were going to shoot what ever came in. We got to the spot an hour befor the sun came up on opening day and started our mile and a half hike in, witch she was not happy about having to make for the next four days. We arived at the stands as the sun was coming up and we climbed in. The bulls were bugeling and the cows were calling like it was the middle of sept, and it wasn't long befor they showed up and went for a swim. The elk drank and played for about fourty-five min, befor they walked off. It was cool to see them interact with each other and Brittany realy enjoyed it too. For the first two days nothing but does, fawns, and elk I was proud of Brittany for sitting almost still for ten hours every day. It was tuff but seeing animales helps. It was sun and I was starting to think that even the smaller bucks were going to come in. Then in the distance I could see movement I told Britt to get her gun ready. As the deer came out of the trees I could see it was a small buck. I told her that it was sunday and this could be our only chance, see took aim and shot. She must of jerked because she missed behind him and he took off right through the tank and up the hill and out of sight. She couldn't get a second shot because he was running. We sat there the rest of the day with only does showing up. It was monday the last day we were going to be there and it started like the rest first the elk then the does. It was close to noon when I noticed movement it was three does and the fourth was a differnt small buck. Britt was ready, the does hung up and so did he about two or three min of trying to decide what they wanted to do he headed to the water. This was a buck I had seen befor and thought he was unique. Britt took aim and shot this time hitting him in the front shoulder, he dove in the water and out the other side she wasn't letting this one get away and shot three more times thank God she missed with all of them and he went down. This was a great hunt didn't get the big one but a trophy nun the less.

My friend shot this buck with two days left. He hunted the first three days and had to go back to work. During his first days of the hunt he had missed a buck and wasn't sure if he was going back (the hunt was 10 days). My dad and neighbor hunted tue through thur and the weather got cold 28 for the high. This must of done something to the deer because the bigger bucks were with the does. My neighbor shot a small fork (sorry no pics) and my dad missed a nice deer over 100". They had to leave and I told my friend he needed to get back out there and finish it, he left early the next day and fought through the freezing temps and 20 mile an hour winds. As he sat there ready to leave the does worked their way in with a big buck behind them. He said when this buck came over the berm it looked 24" tall and 36" wide and seemed to be golwing he made a great shot and downed him. Unoffical score gross 110 3/8 net 106 4/8.

First coues deer, I shot him the 2nd friday of the hunt. I had no idea how spooky these deer are. I sat in the stand for three days before I shot him, although I missed the buck I wanted on opening day. Evrey deer that came in to drink doe or buck took thirty to forty-five minutes to get to the water. Every pine cone that droped, squirrel that moved, and every bird that flew made these deer jump. They are on edge the whole time they are around water. The buck I shot took thirty minutes untill he finally gave me a shot at twenty-five yards, he ducked the arrow, but didn't leave, I couldn't belive I had missed again, but he didn't want to leave, he kept comming back but never gave me another shot. Ten or fifteen minutes later he started to leave the same way he came in. He then turned and was about to leave in a different direction right through an opening I had already ranged at forty-three yards. As he crept through the opening I shot, I heard the hit and I knew I had a good shot. As he ran off I couldn't see him but I heard him fall, excited I waited the longest hour of my life and climbed down and found him thirty yards away. This hunt has me hooked, I can't wait till my daughter's hunt in October.
