It looks like you are putting torque into your d-loop with that release, you might want to try it with a release head that can rotate. With that torque in your d-loop it's going to put stress on your nock and cause inconsistent arrow flight. Just my .02 cents. Jake

Always go shorter. Way to many people shoot a draw length that is to long for them and wonder why they can't shoot. 29" draw with a d-loop should be perfect. jake

I have a CVA Optima Elite break barrel for sale it is the interchangable barrel model. It has a 28" fluted 209x50 muzzleloader barrel with scope bases on it and a 30-06 centerfire rifle barrel with bases rings and 3x9-40 scope on it. Gun is a great shooter with either barrel. is this a hybrid? it was the only deer out of the 5 bachelor group i saw that had brow tines and had an inside the ears spread. it was also a little smaller than the other mullies.

Use a 10lb mono backing and get either power pro or mccoys mean green line. spiderwire is crap, it is flat instead of round and will not cast smoothly. Have a shop/store with a automatic winder(spelling) put the line on for you they can get the line tighter and spooled right. you want the line to come off the bulk spool in the same direction it goes on the reel spool (under=under). as for leader use a 20lb flouro leader like pline, super strong and clear under water. if you do it right and fill the spool correctly it should cast a mile. jake
