Ok no hiding it, I love to eat. When I go anywhere, were I’m/ we are eating is a huge part of the trip planning. I’ll be in the Show Low/ Pinetop area for 4 days soon and want to know what food joints everyone likes up there. Mexican, pizza, steakhouse, etc. all of it.

Absolutely one of the best and one of my all time favorites to ever own.

Anyone have any issues sizing any of the WSM calibers? I am using new RCBS full length sizing dies. Even after trimmed, It is quite snug closing the bolt on the rifle. It will close but definitely tighter then factory loads. Enough so that its obviously not right. Searched alot of forums and this seems to be common issue in alot of the WSM and WSSM calibers. I have tried dropping the die even farther down, no difference no matter were the die is seated in the press. It seems its not completely sizing all the way down. I have read that small base dies are the way to go, I also read that grinding down the shell holder or going to Redding Competition shell holders work. Of course some say its the die, others say no. Before I go out grinding anything or spending money on more stuff that they may not work, I wanted to see some of your experiences. Thanks

You mean after the new brass is loaded and fired once as it is right now? Because right now the new unfired Norma brass fits just fine. All brass fits until it is fired then sized and that is when the problems begin. heck even once fired brass from the rifle its self goes back in no problem as long as I don't resize it.

I don’t know if it’s an omen or what but nothing with this caliber in this rifle has been easy, reloading that is. Gun shoots factory stuff good no issues. Having a hard time finding small base dies for this caliber.

you're not wrong

UofA wasn't firing him either way. Can't afford it. Does he deserve to be fired? Absolutely. Not because the wins and loses but the way they happened, almost all blowouts, and the lack of adjustments all season. The dude is way in over his head and his last press conference after the game and the idiotic things he said proved it. Honestly I'd be happy with UofA if they could be a reasonably competitive school that is at least bowl eligible most of the time. Look at that s%#t hole stadium they play in. Who would want to go there to play when dang near everyone else has newer nicer updated facilities. Even San Diego State built a new one. Oregon State completely renovated there's from top to bottom, basically all new. What UofA needs is a T Boone Pickens(Oklahoma State) or Phil Knight(Oregon) type of alumni to step up and slap the cash down and redo the whole dang thing. They have at least one(Moreno-Anaheim Angels owner) who could do it. Quite paying out bottom tier coaches every 3-4 years because you are firing them, quite spending money on a minor renovations on a dilapidated hunk of crap stadium and invest long term.

Got the brand new Norma brass, it chambers great. Like factory ammo. I'll load these and then see what happens next but I don't for see the problem going away once I go to resize the once fired brass. Next is small base dies. After that, not sure. And still not sure what checking the headspace will do. Don't know one single person that has this caliber unfortunately. Sticking to common calibers from now on, lol

No I have not turned any of the necks, don't have the equipment for that.

Been there done that minus the new brass part. I wish it was that simple with this one. New brass is what my next step is.

Will do. Thank you

I enjoy it. Maybe not just this caliber for this rifle, lol. I got an 06 I’ll reload for and eventually a 7mm mag I see in my future. I’ll reload for other calibers, pistol too, down the road as well. This is my main deer rifle is why I was pushing for it.

There’s a certain point in which spending money on this rifle is gonna far out way the benefits over just sticking to factory ammo. Not saying your suggestion is wrong, it’s not. Just not sure how far I want to ride this out. The gun shoots good, it’s a hunting rifle, used when I get drawn, which is less and less often these days it seems. Reloading was meant to cut cost if possible, improve accuracy possibly, and keep a consistent load if specific factory rounds dry up as they do from time to time.
