Don't know about the Vipers but the Talons I just bought are way better than the Leupolds Olympics I had. I know I may get flamed for this but I think Leupold is overated(not including rifle scopes, no experiance there) IMHO. I think you'll like Vortex.

Was at Big Lake 2 weeks ago and never saw one single elk the whole drove in and out! Couldnt believe that but the archery hunt had just started as well. Drove the Alpine to Big Lake road a few times and saw nothing. I heard a few bugles close to the lake but not much else. I would think they might still be scattered about and in a year things should be settling down. But who knows.

Thats a good one! Neither of these Arizona teams are going to the Rose Bowl or even close. Heck, UA isnt even going to go .500 this year. I will proclaim it now. The Stoops era in Tucson has to be over this year! He got them out of the Mackovic hole but he did as good as he is gonna get with this team. Can we play in the Sunbelt conference during football season?? I mean geez! They cant even kick field goals. Ok, ok....I'm done whinning now.

This topic hasnt seen anything for awhile so maybe I will revive it. Gamehauler-I have a halfton truck with a smaller V8 and am looking at getting a travel trailer. Any recommendations on any of the ultralites or lite trailers?? Would like something in the 20-26 ft range. Would be used for me, wife and 2 young kids for camping and hunting trips. Dont need fancy accessories just beds, heater, ac, fridge etc. Thanks in advance

I can live with this! I am so burned out on country anymore. Pretty much any and all rock for that matter. KISS, always liked KISS. Anything from Huey Lewis to Sevendust to Traveling Wilburys to Staind to Scorpions, etc.. Radio around here runs the same music into the ground so I like the Sirius as well as IPOD.

Some of the varmint factory loaded ammo is supposed to be super explosvie so it comes apart inside only and doesnt come out the other side for the reasons you are wanting, however alot of them do go through and it usually is a huge mess. I think Firstcoues point of bigger and slower on a cartridge could work. The 110's you loaded though seemed to keep the damage down per that picture. I am going to start trying the same thing but in .243 to see what keeps the damage to a minimum for that caliber.

Anybody in 1 or 27 have any reports? Went to Big Lake and heard a few isolated bugles but didnt see one single elk on the road between the lake and Alpine. Could of been my timing though as it was in the middle of the day everytime when I was going through. Alot more green up there than I thought but still sucks to see it that way. There is a certain amount of reasoning to cleaning up after yourself and not laying waste to everything around you but alot of this green stuff is taken out of hand. As long as we walk this Earth we are going to have a impact and it isnt always going to be good. Besides have you ever been overseas and see how much other countries pollute ? And none of them care either. Al Gore was a big pusher on this green movement. He should of been shut up along time ago. He was making around $150,000.00 per appearance to spread his green ideas. He cares so much about the enviroment he turns a profit out of it.

Cashier may have been well intentioned but she needs to worry alittle more about doing her job and a little less of about harassing a older, wiser generation of people with a bunch of liberal green bs. Your rebuttal to it all was very good by the way!

These guys are just going to be scapgoated and basically used as a diversion as to what really is the underlying problem of forest mismanagment. Ultimately they should be held reasonably responsible for there part of it but putting them in prison for life or fining them One trillion dollars isnt going to bring it back or change future decisions and how things are done with OUR public lands. This is all just a distraction to get the heat off the Feds for there part.

I guess my wording was off. I was thinking of bragging in a different manner I guess. I didn't take it wrong. I was just being silly. I knew what you meant. My bad! TJ Ok chalk that one up to miss communication I suppose . Anyways, the stuff on here is enjoyable and informative. Look at the gun websites and all the posts with pics of guys tricked out AR's and such. I like seeing it as it gives ideas and shows products and things I might otherwise never know about. People who dont like "our" kind and the things we do, wont like us either way so I dont worry about it, bragging or not.

I think there is a fine line between bragging and sharing your story and experiances. I take people who are boastful as being arrogant and unpleasant people with yes...low self esteem. Bragging is rubbing it in someones face that they didnt accomplish the same. I dont think most people here do that. So no.. I dont think these forums are "bragging" necessarily in a bad manner, with the exception of a few bad apples.

Got a pair of Vortex Talon HD's and they seem well built and very clear and much better than the Leupolds I had. More so was the great service and the added bonus thrown in that I didnt even ask for ! Thanks!
