Well let's hear it? Here's my story, I was awaken around 4am this morning to a strange bang and my windows rattle. I thought I was dreaming but I decided to get up and take a look around. Went to my kids rooms and their both asleep, so I go and take a look in the front yard to make sure my vehicle's were ok. After looking around to make sure everything was fine my daughter gets up and say's dad did you here the windows rattle? So then I knew it wasn't just me. For some reason my daughter looks out the side of the house which is facing east and she says look dad what's that in the sky??? (See attached photo)

Nice, I just found out about 10 minutes ago that my son also drew the 22 Jr. Cow hunt. Congrats. I've never hunted that unit. I've always been on top of the rim in 4A. Maybe we can hook up and do some scouting? I need to start doing my home work and get familiar with that area. Oct. 7th will be here just before you know it. Thanks, JD

Yes, I'm excited to say that my son Elijah drew either a 4A or 22 Jr. cow hunt this year and every time he gets drawn I think I get more excited than he does. lol I thank God for blessing me with 2 beautiful children that love to hunt, fish and enjoy being in God's awesome creation. We're happy to say we put another buck down. Congratulations to Emily who is only 11yrs old and let me just tell you, she's going to be one heck of an hunter! She passed on many small deer and just kept saying "I'm waiting for the big one." Well her hard work paid off!!! I'll just let the photos do all the talking. JD

Well, I wish there was a long story to this hunt but I got it done at 6:55AM opening morning!!! Did a few cow calls and this guy (6x6) comes in on a heartbeat. I didn’t even have time to nock an arrow up or range him. So I guest him to be around 40yrds away. I shoot but it was to low and hit him in the leg. He spun around after I hit him and we stared each other down which was his mistake. I put my 50yrd pin on his chest and let it rip. It was a perfect shot, right in the center of his chest!!! Followed his blood trail for about 100yrds and yes you guessed it, he dies in a deep canyon. Well you know the story from here. lol 6 guys and 7 hours later we had him hanging. This is my first bull ever so I'm on top of the world right now!!! Thanks, JD - Down2HuntAz
