I have a really exceptional black and tan pure breed german shepherd pup! Smart and very affectionate. Both parents are on site they are papered. Mom and dad are very well trained they love children and are very protective of the family. Both parents are off of 100% Czech german shepherd. Both mom and dad have a really well balanced temperament. They are the kind of dogs that you can teach anything to! Hank has had his shots and is ready to become a beloved member of the family. (I'm letting this pup go $350 without papers or with papers for $500.) Thanks, JD

Nate, congratulations!!! Very nice bear. JD -
Not sure if any of you guys/gals read this but there's a lot of heated hunters in GMU 1 and 7E because of this project interfering with our hunts. JD Arizona Game and Fish Department Notice to hunters regarding a department elk research project: The department’s Research Branch will be conducting an elk survey methodology study to investigate ways to evaluate and improve the accuracy and precision of our elk population estimates. The project includes trapping and radio-collaring elk, and short-term intensive helicopter and fixed wing aircraft surveys within GMU 1 and 7E to compare various survey methods. Elk trapping will take place outside of elk hunting... seasons. Aerial surveys will be restricted to the end of August and early September 2015 prior to the elk archery season. As this may mildly impact some hunters, the Q&A below will help answer questions. Q: What is the purpose of the “cages” being set out in the forest? A: These are elk traps designed to capture individual animals without harming them so that we may fit them with radio-telemetry collars as a part of a research project. Elk will be released on site immediately after being fitted with a collar. Q: What is the purpose of the research project? A: The primary objective of this project is to test and compare various survey techniques to improve accuracy and precision in estimating elk numbers. Q: Why are there helicopters flying low and slow in the forest where I hunt? A: Observers in the helicopters are conducting aerial surveys for elk to test several methods so that we may more closely monitor elk numbers. As they are testing several different methods, helicopters may fly slow and low to allow observers to gather necessary data for comparing survey methods. Q: Are these additional flights designed specifically to interfere with hunters and reduce hunt success? A: No, the hunting public is an important and valued customer of the Arizona Game and Fish Department. These efforts are designed to improve accuracy of our elk surveys to better inform herd management decisions. Q: Will this improved accuracy result in reduced elk permits and affect draw success? Or, will it result in increased elk permits that may affect future hunt success? A: No, this effort is independent of specific elk herd management objectives. However, improved accuracy in survey data will aid managers in making more informed decisions about elk population management and hunting regulations. Q: Can I legally harvest a collared elk? A: Yes, this policy is spelled out in the hunting regulations, and marked or collared animals can be legally harvested. All we ask is that ear tags (or documentation of ear tags) and the collar be returned undamaged to the nearest Arizona Game and Fish Department office.

down2hunt replied to hoghntr's topic in Classified Ads
I'm in the same boat! I've been looking for a small car for my daughter and what bothers me most is the dishonesty of individuals on CL. I've gone to see at least 6 cars and none of them have been what they say they are on CL. (all lies and junk) But I'm still looking. lol Going to Sun City early Saturday and hopefully I'll find a decent car... JD -

The federally protected wolf seen last month near the Grand Canyon may have been shot and killed in southwestern Utah on Sunday, wildlife groups fear. Well here he is my Pop's aka Shorty. Most of our friends and family call him The Colonel!!! My dad is the coolest and funniest man I know. When your around the camp fire you'll know why. He still enjoys being in Gods country at 74 years old. He's one of those ol' skoo work horses that never stops. He just keeps going and going. He has thought me everything I know about hunting and how to be a responsible man. Love this man!!! JD

I just wanted to share this with you guys. Another reason why we need to be careful and aware of our surrounding. Let's all be safe out there! EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a man who had shot a deer in the Hudson Valley woods was hauling it away on a cart when he was wounded by second hunter firing at the dead animal. Police in Dutchess County tell the Poughkeepsie Journal (http://pojonews.co/1uFkheC ) that a hunter had shot a deer Saturday morning and was using a cart to bring it out of a wooded area 60 miles north of New York City. Officers say another hunter saw the deer moving, thought it was alive and fired, hitting the first hunter in the hand and buttocks. The injured hunter was treated at a hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries. Police say both men are from nearby towns. The incident is being investigated by the state Department of Environmental Conservation police. Read more: http://www.azfamily.com/news/national/282948301.html#ixzz3JQdUyJOF

Hey guys/gals, I just wanted to share some photo's of my buddy Joe's daughter Emily and her 1st javelina. Let me tell you this girl is 10 years old a trooper!!! Emily and her father Joe assisted us on my sons jr. deer hunt and what a lot of help they were. Not only did she make a great shot but she also glassed this herd of pigs up herself and made a perfect stock on them to make that 100 yard kill shot. Congratulations Emily on your 1st javelina. JD
