Sous Vide - Sounds weird.. changes the game..
CouesPursuit replied to Prettyman's topic in Cooking Wild Foods
I do a poor man sous vide on all my individual deer fillet dinners in a pot while monitoring the temp. Following to eventually take it to the next level. -
Dang I'm hungry and just liked all these photos. Well done without any pun intended.

I have taken some of my best tactical naps in a swinging tree, just have to get the safety strap right.

I started many years ago with a magnum (7mm RM) to make sure I could cover all Arizona big game, then picked up a .223 for predators and was in similar shoes to yours. I wanted to enjoy shooting more with a deer-capable round while getting more experience reloading. I have since purchased 2 calibers in between, one requires wearing a flat-brimmed hat weighing in right at 7# scoped and the other is a .243. Both are extremely affordable rifles that still shoot sub-MOA on my bad days. I don't plan on hunting with my magnum again until I have a bull elk or bison tag. IMO, your .308 can fill that niche if needed and you will enjoy shooting so much more on something like mentioned above.

I'm interested based on location?

These 2 spikers also woke me up from an advanced tactical nap 25 feet up in a tree on the August opener just after noon this year.

Great seller.

I shot my first big game animal after it woke me up from a tactical nap. I am in full support.

Wow. Fantastic job, Emma! I can't imagine it gets any better than that. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent.

Yours. I'll give you a shout today! Thx.

Taken care of. Thank you, cactusjack! Gotta love CWT!

I have 4 boxes on the way but the delivery (exp. Nov 2nd) will be cutting it close to a hunt and I'd like to shoot some in the coming weeks. Is there anyone willing to sell or loan me a box w/$40 of collateral until mine comes in?? I'm in the east valley. Thanks for considering.

I ordered these 2 weeks ago stated as "in stock." The bullets are backordered and they are listed currently as "limited availability." Mine still haven't shipped. I wouldn't count on Optics Planet. I searched really hard for the last 2 weeks and no one else has them in stock. I wonder how many people are in line.

I'll take it while you're in PHX this Saturday. Thx. Pm inbound.

Enjoyed his posts very much. Rest in peace, Ben.

And that is just an estimate. The bullets are backordered, website still has them in stock, one of my least favorite business practices.

I ordered some bullets from them last week that were listed as in stock and they confirmed the order stating it would take 22-34 days to ship. Buyer beware.

Anyone have an outdoor shed with AC in the valley that could offer any advice on the building or purchasing of one? Not looking for daily living comfort, but would like to keep the items stored in it in decent shape, perhaps with a window unit? Thanks in advance.

Same target at 200 with taped holes, I took the picture so close so I could see through the tape. Not proud of it but I hadn't cleaned the rifle since last fall before my hunts started. This rifle and load shot these 2 an inch apart at 400 yards last December while doing a quick check outside deer camp. The pic is sideways, but it prints in the same spot as my first group this morning and verified my 2 click down decision before shooting the second group. If there wasn't such a crosswind today, I may have clicked 1 right. Next time out probably.
