Ended up at a shop near work on 16th Street and University, Solares Tires. Excellent all around service and selection of used tires. I'll give them a shot on my new set of 4 next year and would recommend them to anyone looking for used tires in a pinch.

Good stuff, Kevin. Congratulations on all your family's success and lessons learned. I hope those pin stripes bring a smile to your face every time you see them. -
CWT Dad of the year! Huge congratulations on all accounts, you are and should be very proud! I can only imagine the family dinners, eating elk, re-telling their stories. Wow!

I sent mine to badlands wrapped up in a thin layer of kitchen wrap to keep the straps and buckles together. No problems. I don't remember who had the cheapest rate.

+1 And they did it with smiles, good job, Dad. And good luck! -
Fantastic job, Lance and Proud Dad Luke! Those are 2 fine bulls, congrats!

I honestly can't believe so many people are scared of walking in the dark because of lions. I wasn't prior to reading this thread but you're making me think I should be!

Great truck, GLWS. -
Brothers and bucks, way cool! Congrats!

If you list your desired hunt as your first and only choice, it (obviously) is the only hunt you can draw. If you list it as both first and second choice, you have the option of selecting different hunts as your 3rd - 5th choices for the third stage of the draw, without compromising your chances for the desired hunt by drawing these as your 2nd choice in the bonus point pass. I'm unsure of what happens if you leave the second choice blank. It all depends on what hunts you want and this really only applies to hunts and species that can be drawn in the third-fourth-fifth choice pass.

Yea man you are one of a very select few. Great stuff. Huge congratulations all around!

Man, some solo hunter needs to turn that thing into a duck blind! GLWS.

At least you made some friends here! Jk, I'm glad to hear you're keeping her and best of luck.

Wow @ $150. I've had this rangefinder for 10 years with no issues and my hunting buddy that had issues was given 2 free replacements and 1 was his fault. Great deal on a great rangefinder if you're ok with 800 yard average readings.

2019 Coues Video
CouesPursuit replied to OpticNerd's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I'm leaving on a friend's elk hunt tonight wishing it was a coues hunt! Always enjoy and appreciate your videos, but they are extra special with my first December tag in possession. Thanks for sharing. -

It will never replace a spotter. I've seen the tagline "friends don't let friends buy doublers." The majority of reviews on doublers appear to be negative. Does anyone use and enjoy a doubler on premium 15x glass?

Thanks for the posts. It is pretty clear from the interwebs that Swarovski's 2x was a letdown and you see them for sale quite often. Not bashing them but I'd imagine Vortex's level of quality, slightly or not, puts it at an auto disadvantage for the concept. I did read a couple positive reviews about Meopta's but nothing compelling, and I'm not sure who else made one. I'm mostly just curious. I figured there would have been a niche somewhere whether backpacking, digiscoping or something else, but don't come across very many reviews at all, let alone positive ones.

My last rifle buck was 435 yards across a canyon at last light. I did exactly as above without the 180 degree part, just placed a point on the big oak that matched my rangefinder/GPS/compass. When my hunting partner joined me for the search and at the point of "he should be right h..." my partner found him piled up before I could finish my sentence.

You are going to get an overwhelming vote for the Tikka in this forum but I'll say that Savage storm would be a great gun for a youth with the LOP adapters. I went with a lightweight storm in 6.5CR for my youth and backcountry carry rifle and while I've been fire-forming virgin brass and velocity searching for reloading, it has shot a few .5" groups.

I'd say. Fantastic! The angle and shadow makes it looks like he has a target painted. Good luck today.
