Better than the topic at hand. Alamo is currently releasing ~5000 CFS.

I will on Saturday.

US Bureau of Reclamation owns the dams. SRP operates the dams. US Forest Service or other land management agency manages the land/water. AZGFD manages the fish and wildlife for the state.

Bad news is, the lake is dropping and there are several guys catching bass and aggressive crappie on beds as we speak. Their eggs will be high and dry before long, and the fish moving in next will likely suffer the same. Good news is, I can say with certainty that many large female crappie are still prespawn, feeding on schools of shad in 60 FOW+. As long as the drawdown goes at outlined, and stops by April 1st, there should be a sufficient spawn IMO. Especially with the cold front up there this week. It shouldn't be the end of the world but Alamo was absolutely lined up for a much needed "super spawn" this year to fend off the retirees, Californians and other nonresidents.

Thank you all for the comments and especially those words of support and encouragement. Health is obviously #1 and the only thing truly important to me, but the little one coming out a week or so early would sure help my deer game in the coming years.

A few years back, I started a thread on here for advice after my truck was broken into and the moron put my item for sale for an unbelievably low price on Craigslist with a map to my nearest major intersection. Long story short, I stayed vigilant with the local PD, supplied a serial number, and set up a sting under the disguise of my brother and a fake email address to request the item. We made the transaction under the local gas station security camera and although I had to pay for it, I got my item back and the piece of tweaking trash was convicted for burglary. My only fear is he retaliates when he gets out but I'll deal with that because dang it felt good knowing he had to serve time. Hopefully he was too high to remember where he committed the theft. OP, glad it wasn't worse. Btw did I mention I hate thieves?

Regretted it from the get-go. Though 99% of us will get another 2 weeks of hope, employers get another 2 weeks of halface productivity.

Coues hunter or Coues Sniper?
CouesPursuit replied to AZAV8ER's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
We should be far less concerned about a hunter's choice of firearm or the distance they execute their kill shot from, so long as he or she is proficient and legal to shoot the animal. I have to say though, I really put my hands in my pockets on the "someone take the meat" threads, especially posting that crap on the internet. Bring the meat, a package of McCormick seasoning and a bag of charcoal to some homeless folks and make a success story out of it. Cost < $10 if it wasn't in your camp box already. If we have these lunatics trolling Facebook pages they sure as heck can take note of these needless conversations. Same side here folks, protect the way of life. -

Thank you, Sean, for getting some positive and constructive dialogue out there on Hunters' behalf, and I'm truly sorry about the outcome of your discussion. -

Dad of the year! Good job! Beautiful rifle that will surely be a shooter. -
I tried to send a pm with an offer, but it says you cannot accept it. Nevermind, got your number from a previous deal. Text inbound.

Do you connect the swivel right to the lure or have a leader? If so how long?Personally, I don't like swivels. But when I use them they are as small as possible and connected to the spinner. I don't use them on spoons, instead giving plenty of time for the spoon/Kastmaster to unspin the line between each cast. Some spoons twist more than others.

For bait fishing trout, I've done well on a meal worm and a kernel of corn together on a treble hook. Crayfish will pull any worm under a rock if they get a chance so I used to check by lifting your rod tip up for slight resistance, sometimes they aren't a problem and sometimes you need a bobber or powerbait to stay off the bottom if you can't avoid them. Benefit of meal worm and corn to powerbait is catching Browns. Inline spinners and kastmasters are good for casting. A swivel helps reduce with line twist. Also agree on light line and small tackle.
