I have cheaper Minox 10x binos that blow away the Viper HD 15s (i.e. spotting spikes at 400 yards+ side by side one year), if I needed a scope I would be all over this one. GLWS.

I have no problem sharing information, I have always answered peoples questions and posted my success or lack there of when asked. I may have not openly reported back about every trip I have taken, but I have never intentionally ignored requests for info. But I understand what you are saying, I will report back how it goes this weekend Cool man, I just noticed your last topic went unanswered, and we like reports too!! Not a report per se, but I can tell you that the Tonto Creek above Gun Creek USGS gauge is at 2 CFS right now, and it has been dryyyyyyy. Very few pockets of water remain anywhere near Tonto Basin.

Not trying to bust balls here, but you've posted one report back to this forum after many requests for information. I know I'd be sharing more with you. Good luck fishin'.

HSUS Preparing to have voter initiaive?
CouesPursuit replied to bonuspointjohn's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I've been speaking with everyone I can about this, particularly non-hunters. I remind them that - 1) A fear of humans for a sneaky apex predator that can leap 30 feet is a good thing, especially if you enjoy the great outdoors or even just being on the outskirts of town. There is plenty of evidence from CA that supports a trend in braving cats since their hunting ban. 2) Lion meat is said to be great table fare and I don't know of a single harvested lion that wasn't taken home and put on many dinner plates. I recently ate a bobcat fillet and it was wonderful. Cats are not just "trophys" for hunters. 3) Most importantly, the AZGFD is made up of people from all walks of life, educated in conservation, and they should remain in control of hunting regulations on all non-T&E wildlife species by using sound science, not emotion. I feel that most, if not all the non-hunters I have been talking to agree. Don't be quiet on this one, folks. Be civil, diligent and share what you know is right. Lastly, stand by your fellow hunters, regardless of your difference styles of pursuit. -
I echo greyghosts comment, plus I would say I use scouting trips and duck hunting to get the camaraderie out of my system. Nowadays at least, a big game hunt is get back to camp, eat, sleep, and have no regrets that you could have hunted harder.

Hunting with brothers is special. Glad to hear he decided he was ready and it definitely paid off. Real nice buck. Congrats to you both!

Fantastic smiles and job boys!

Good luck with the sale, OP. If anyone gets this cabinet but would like a whitetail buck engraving instead, I would trade mine for the waterfowl theme. Not sure how they compare as far a condition is concerned, but mine does have a working lock/key and light. Thanks.

I love that she loaded and picked her favorite round. So stinkin' cool. Congratulations to your daughter and well done all around.

Found this in the news this morning. I would buy an EpiPen-like device in a heartbeat. http://www.12news.com/news/health/arizona-researcher-discovers-breakthrough-that-could-buy-time-for-snakebite-victims/483240149 "The excitement is that we have proven that carbon monoxide has the ability to directly inhibit essentially all hemotoxic venom enzymes in the test tube and that it blocks the effects of the Western Diamondback rattlesnake's venom in animals," Nielsen said in a news release by U of A. "The effects on coagulation of some of the deadliest snake venoms in the world — South American, North American and even African, such the cobra's — can be delayed by a treatment that could be delivered with a device much like an EpiPen used for allergic reactions."

From her dedication to hunters ed, spotting the first buck herself, and waiting for the right shot on the cute buck, she sounds like quite the huntress. Fantastic story and a huge congratulations to Liana and the dot!

I should have had this comparator and headspace insert long ago. Thank you, Lance and Lee. -
Pressure Signs Early/Well before MAX *AND W/Factory Ammunition*
CouesPursuit replied to CouesPursuit's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Part of it is from the catered primer. The cases with primers less cratered still had .005" or so. How do I address this? -

CouesPursuit replied to CouesPursuit's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Headspace check - Neck sized case. Fired (pressured) case, grew 0.0085". I'll run a few more cases through the caliper and get them cleaned up for sizing.
