Trying to help a couple of newbies.
CouesPursuit replied to Rock30golf's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Nice. Never used search logic like this but it's great! I can use this for work too since the search function on several of our intranet sites isn't great. Man, I couldn't function without it, especially at work. Another beneficial one for hunters, if one is looking for a specific file type for instance, i.e. .KMZ "filetype:KMZ ___________" Here is Google's support page for more- https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/2466433?rd=1 -

Agree with the posts above, also teach your buddies the custom google search of "site:coueswhitetail.com _____" where ___ = 36B, with/or anything else their hearts desire. -
Lots of folks going out for the right reasons! Good luck to all of you!

Got my 1st archery bull tag. Need equipment advice

When I get confident in a new setup, I won't change anything until at least 2 consecutive shooting days dictate a change is needed. Shoot again down here, and then again up at your hunting grounds, and then make a decision. Quality broadheads on a well tuned bow should shoot right with field tips, regardless of elevation. What did/do your field tips do up there? That will help. Good on you for practicing, good luck! -

I will be traveling through western Colorado in early October with my wife, dog, and 16' aluminum boat. Fly, spin, scenery, breweries, cool towns nearby - Could anyone please recommend some good lakes to hit on the way that could be productive that time of year? Thanks!

It's light and cinches down great as a day pack and expands to hold that day gear with a boned out deer, no problem. I love mine. Good luck with the sale!

Seeking advice on western Colorado lake fishing for Kokanee
CouesPursuit replied to CouesPursuit's topic in Fishing
Thank you guys for the replies, all have been evaluated and greatly appreciated! When I started this post I was figuring I wanted to get into some good CO trout water, but looking at the methods of fishing for Kokanee, and having not caught them before, I would like to dedicate a couple of the days specifically to them with smallies or walleye as backup. I am well experienced in long lining for crappie, and my wife really enjoys trolling (and drinking). I am sure the effectiveness of long lining will depend on the depth the fish are holding at, but it could be a tactic I try if they are < 15'. Particularly at McPhee and Blue Mesa Reservoirs if applicable, as they end up being the most suitable stopping points on the trip from AZ to WY, can anyone give any tips specific to catching Kokanee? Thanks for any other insight. -
Unfortunately there aren't any stud bucks to drool over but there is more than enough action to call this spot Plan A in 39 days. Might buy my first bear tag as well, what do you think about bear #1? Also unfortunately, these WGI Cloak cameras have been nothing but problems, this is the only picture the camera took after I left. Luckily I had a cheap Primos set up as a back up. Same bear. This blonde(ish) bear is here every couple days. Bears together. Darn calf is soaking up all the water! Nothing special but bucks nonetheless! Critters etc. attached -

local Pool Company needed Phx/scottsdale area
CouesPursuit replied to COA's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I used a product many times called EZ-Patch from a company based out of Scottsdale that has a good color selection. Drain the pool below the repair, angle grind down at least 1/4", allow to dry, mix product, and float in the patch. It is very straightforward and the product works well, but it certainly just a patch. I agree with your comments as well! Good luck! -
Not in town until Monday but I have 3 I would sell for $40 if you want them. And maybe I have more than 3. Pm me. I'd like to give the OP dibs for a day and then I would open the offer to anyone.

I had my first poor V-Max experience on a young dog last Saturday after roughly 20 or so great experiences. I shot straight into his chest at 300 as he hung up facing me and sitting curiously. The shot felt true but he ran 75 yards with a wicked blood trail. Not sure if this is what you're talking about but clearly the bullet never exited. I would have thought he would have went down a lot sooner than he did. The positive still far outweighs this one experience. -
You likely hit Ctrl+I while typing. Good luck, OP.
