Throw big lures at night and throw a ton of them.

Ha! The area in general had a decent amount of turkey until the coati moved in. I heard they put a hurting on the eggs and poults and I would have to agree. Thank you. He was an opening day buck last year not far from this spot. Here is the post with a few. I was solo and wish I would have spent more time taking field pics. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/67920-august-opening-day-coues/

Hope you had a great birthday, TJ!

Perhaps, but after long days in the dew or snow, it sure is nice to have dry boots and gear while getting your day started in a comfortable, warm, methodical mindset. I love that saying, "to each their own." You should try it.

I'm knowledgeable in service and repair on common plaster and pebble tec in ground pools, sorry but I don't have any experience with fiberglass drop ins. -
"Bullet Proof" It was an Amazon Lightning Deal for $26 no tax and free shipping. It has zero features, just a slot for an SD card and an on-off switch. Glad I got it because the WGI Cloak failed me twice at this spot.

I run mine all night and leave a couple zippers cracked, is half way trust an acceptable answer?

I got a few archery bucks and ended up building up 4 points without trying, then didn't want to "settle" for an October tag. 8 points now, and all I want to do is hunt! Thank goodness for archery.

I can't wait to see his success, good luck!! -
Was hunting 24B many years ago after a summer fire and what was left of the black soot was covered in deer tracks. Shot a buck right out of it in October.

Please welcome AxisWorks LLC as our newest sponsor!
CouesPursuit replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Sponsor Spotlight
I recently picked up my rifle after AxisWorks LLC installed a brake. Not being the most savvy person when it comes to firearms, I asked a lot of questions and I just cannot speak highly enough of Eric's customer service and quality of work on my factory (and slim) sporter barrel. Never feeling rushed or foolish, Eric took the time to make sure I was 100% satisfied and everything was perfect. Thank you, Eric and Cody, it was! -
Long and efficient blind retrieves.

^ +1 and well said. I don't have FB and CWT is the only site I get excited about and participate on. I've met many friends here and try to post honest and straightforward content in return for everything this site gave to me since I started reading it 10 years ago.

I got into a great looking area a month ago in pine country that I had been eyeing and started to circle the perimeter. I eventually found a reasonably old ladder stand and abandoned salt pits that were hit HARD. I moved on, not because I wasn't entitled to add salt, a camera, and plan on using the abandoned stand, but rather I would hate to be in a situation like yours. Some people suck, and I'm not about to stain my limited hunting time. Good luck.

Wading belt is a snap on belt that restricts water from flooding your waders from the waist down in an emergency. Always wear the wading belt is right, it's like climbing a tree with no safety line.

I owned a pool company that put me through school and I would be happy to help through any DIY efforts out there or offer free advice. CWT members can send me a note any time. -
Good luck to the Sunrise 3D shooters.

https://wgfd.wyo.gov/DrawResults/frmSearch.aspx Good luck to all who put in! After a great trip last fall with my buddy Steve, I asked my wife if she would be willing to spend her fall break with me and our lab on a road trip to Wyoming, figuring we could do some fishing together, she could see the beauty of fall across the west, and I could shoot another antelope (or two). She agreed. Results show I got my buck tag that I was expecting, but no doe tag to go with it. No problem. I'm excited to say the least!

Very, very cool mounts. Congrats on the getting the bucks home!
