F that TNT shituation. I sat a tank for an hour at noon on my bull hunt this year while my buddy drove pack to get something he forgot at camp. Saw a nice popup ground blind brushed in on the best tank I scouted. I sat in the brush blind on the opposite side of the tank where the wind was still good while I waited. I noticed a couple guys walking towards the tank and one got there much quicker. He saw my head popup out of the blind and immediately turned away in disappointment before I could wave him in to come sit it anyway. Long story short, I texted my buddy to find them on the road and he let them know I wouldn't be at the tank any longer. The one guy was helping an older gentlemen and they were grateful to get back to the blind. I reallly hope they killed a bull on that tank.

Crap shoot imo. Deer could stop hitting water completely or not change a thing. That said, unless you can get another ambush setup with lots of deer movement, water is still probably the best chance at arrowing a buck in front of the youngster from a warm, enclosed ground blind.

The 2750 was with Superformance. I'd have to measure COAL but my CBTO is 2.200" with a .002 jump.

I have posted this before but I have a 6.5CM with a 20" barrel shooting 143gr ELD-X that liked 42.0 gr of H4350 at 1MOA and loved 45.0gr of Superformance at ~.5MOA with an extra 40-50 FPS. I understand the difference in temp sensitivity but I shoot the load in circumstances that it should never matter. I get 2750 FPS. Lapua brass, CCI 450. Note these are over book max, tested in my rifle.

I don't believe retailers do but any local shops carry Savage action screws? I only need a front but would happily take all 3 including trigger guard screw. Thanks.
