I don't see many, if any "liberal whimps" in this conservation. Curious, who are you directing this insult at, specifically?

I bet my wife these would be up within a week, not the kind of "winning" I'd hoped for.

I stand by my quoted post but credit where due, customer service was noticeably better and the quality of the mounts was everything I paid for with just over 1-year turnaround. I continue to be impressed with Mogollon's work and can't imagine giving anyone else future projects.

Very similar knothead, but 20 instead of 30 years so far. I chickened out on my sheep hunt. While practicing and shooting the greatest archery of my life, I intentionally left my bow in the truck and grabbed a rifle the day (2) I went after my target ram. He ended up coming below me 80 yards as scouting predicted he may. Shooting him with a rifle that close was bittersweet. I will never know if I'm a chump or if my decision was commendable, but I was terrified of wounding a true trophy animal and having him lost or run on inaccessible (YPG) lands. I'll try to stay off a high horse but I hate seeing wounded animals and wish shooting and as much real-world prep for the shot as possible was trendy. Critter numbers are declining behind my upgrading optics and experience.

Good luck, OP.

Waterfowl fun over Christmas break and a ? on ammo

Great job, Dad! Kent Fasteel is good stuff and tough to beat for straight steel. If you stick with any steel, go up to size 2 at least, 1s may be good, BB may not carry enough pellets for the 20g. A box of each, patterned on a board at 40 yards may decide for you. BB is also unnecessary for anything smaller than fat migrating mallards. 4s don't quite do it unless shooting specificly teal or head shots. I personally use 2s on an average day and lead the bird so much that I miss forward completely or get those pellets in the head. One consideration if you are willing to spend a little money, roll your own steel/TSS "duplex" loads. You can turn that 20 into 12g effectiveness or beyond with TSS. Or lastly, try bismuth off the shelf, more weight in the pellet lends to smaller shot sizes and more pellets in the load. Genuinely, those are mergansers and are as bad as a coot for table fare, maybe just keep that in consideration (basically every other species of duck and goose tastes better). Send me a pm if you want to get into decoying birds, there isn't much better than that! -

$5k is a great price, especially with the recent service listed. GLWS. -
Too bad her dad let her shoot a dink. Jk. Man that is awesome, congrats even if many years later I'm sure.

Congratulations to Zane and great job, Dad!

Good job and thanks for sharing!

Narrow-minded comment, now you're becoming ignorant beyond your logic. Not all plants go dormant. Elk eat more than grass. "Of course it would be more optimal" is precisely OPs point. You went negative. If you can't see that perennial vegetation and hydrologic conditions will benefit significantly from the current precipitation, then there isn't much left to say. Enjoy the weather 😎
-
Your comment on growth is just incorrect and your logic is ignorant to seasonal hydrologic and biotic relationships. I like OPs word-use "primed," a great way for our watersheds to be going into moisture during any month. Very nice is the answer to OPs question!

Congratulations on all accounts!

I have a 2000 Honda Foreman 450ES. It has been a solid machine and runs great. Family-owned. Parts of it could use some love but everything works and it has a 3-ton winch. A recent SxS purchase eliminates its need. I would prefer to trade for something the family can enjoy, starting at 50+cc dirt bikes and quads, but would entertain 400ex or 450r, 12x Swaro, Kowa Big Eyes, others. I value this machine at ~$2.5k and have cash to offset trades as needed. Pm any interest, thanks!

Action screw torque is crucial in tupperware stocks. https://www.accurateshooter.com/technical-articles/savage-action-screw-torque-tuning/ I have only bedded one polymer 10 stock and it did help, but it was relatively stout to begin with. If yours is one of the really flimsy stocks, with the bedding effort involved, I'd consider an upgrade. That said, bedding can't hurt and could make good practice for a future bedding job on a better stock.

Far below average, less than 100 miles/year.

Average. I will post odometer/hours photo this afternoon.

I have been planning on coming here to throw some support and kudos back Hunter's way. He took a call about a non-diesel auto repair and gave instant advice contrary to most of the internet belief. Well, Hunter was right and his advice saved me and my 300k Tundra from the junkyard. He also went through a lot of trouble to load the appropriate sections of the service manual for my timing situation. Thanks again, Hunter. Your name and number will make it through my circle for diesel repair and parts.

Sold Release 20 center console fishing boat $8500

This is a fiberglass hull, correct? -
This 40HP is a workhorse and I really do love it. That load pictured runs about 24 MPH upstream, 28 MPH downstream, 29 MPH empty on a reservoir. My previous 60HP on the same boat was 35 MPH empty for reference. A previous 55HP powerhead in the original 60HP outboard was about 33 MPH. The 40 - 60 HP OMC's in that era have mostly interchanging parts, including the prop size. Yes, I've had multiple engines and almost every repair imaginable to keep it running over the last 20 years that I've owned it. Lessons learned - 60 HP - change the impeller every year, especially when in service as a duck boat. 55 HP - running an engine with a sieve-leaking carb, even to get back to the ramp safe in bad circumstances, will scour cylinders! 40 HP - regular maintenance and learning the engine is worth every penny and effort. Keep fuel stabilizer in the tank and run the engine frequently.
