Well, the landscape has changed somewhat in the Cats schedule...all of a sudden the Oregon game doesn't look so tough after 3 losses by the Ducks...Colorado may have lost Dinwiddie for awhile which weakens them considerably. Still no gimme games on the schedule. If the Cats can maintain the right level of intensity...maybe an undefeated conference season is in reach. ASU coming up. Go Cats!

I was in Steamboat Springs New Year's Day ...people acted like they won the lottery because pot purchases were now legal. A substance that produces addiction and dependence and people dance in the streets! Not hard to see how we ended up with a bunch of idiots in congress and the worst president in the history of the country! Onward thru the drug induced fog!

Every game gets just a little tougher...whale of a game tonight. Colorado and Oregon loom large. Maybe we catch majic in a bottle and go undefeated? Nice to think about anyway. Go Cats! If anyone knows where I can get tickets for the Oregon game in Tucson for a reasonable price....need 6-7 tickets for a family excursion to play golf, shoot some quail, and catch the game.

The level of ignorance is amazing when it comes to lions...statements that have no basis in fact! Such as, lions getting a taste for blood and then killing for the sake of killing without eating what they kill. How was that determined? I have heard of instances when predators would slaughter domestic sheep in a killing frenzy. Dogs will do that if given the chance. Can anyone provide evidence that it has ever happened among wild game such as deer? Lion kills frequently get eaten by other animals such as coyotes. Obviously the lion will then kill again. You don't come across very well when you make statements like, " kill em all!" Pretty short sided view, if not downright stupid. How about ranchers and farmers who suffer crop damage from elk and deer advocating wholesale slaughter of those animals?

Outside of the PAC 12, the rest of the country only remembers that ASU got its rear end handed to them in a bowl game. Stanford, UCLA, and Arizona games are meaningless. Arizona, on the other hand, left the rest of the country with the memory of a great performance by a team on the rise.

All the #1 ranking means is that you have gone undefeated while beating the likes of Duke, San Diego state, and Michigan state. No real significance there. Enjoy the journey gentlemen...even though ASU fans can't relate to that when it comes to basketball.

Baseball is my all time favorite sport...Arizona basketball is next on the list. NCAA tournament has to be the single best sporting event going...1 and done makes every move count. Cats held Washington State to 7 points in the first half of tonights game...unbelievable! Is that a record for an NCAA division 1 team? Go Cats!

As a Wildcat fan, it doesnt get much better than starting the new year out with the best men's basketball team in the country...awesome to watch the journey as they head for March madness! Knowing that you are going to get every teams best shot makes each game that much better! Nice knowing that you don't have to live off of a football game that is now in the past! Go Cats!

If i did'nt know better, I would conclude that coyotes, bobcats, bears, and eagles have no impact on fawn and calf mortaility...only those pesky lions! Eliminate lions and within a very short time there will be a trophy rack on every wall!

Seldom Drawn...do you have any facts to base your statement on? "....20,000 elk reduced to 3,000..." Are you seriously claiming that lions were responsible for that ?

Getting to # 1 can be easier than staying on the top of the pile. How long do you think Arizona can stay on top?

Apparently in some people's mind only deer and sheep deserve respect...when it comes to lions you are perfectly justified in violating laws and ethics. Hypocrisy...double standard...if not outright stupidity!

UCLA usually gives the cats all they can handle...otherwise, Oregon and Colorado seem to pose the biggest threat to our #1 status. I think Colorado will be out for blood...should be a good one. Lets go Cats!!

Colorado is gonna be tough...they have no fear. Quality of teams in Pac12 helps come tourney time. I don't understand the Cats tendency to go stone cold on offense...missing lay-ups. That could be fatal at the wrong time.

College basketball is about which program can get me to the next level the quickest. So, its mostly one and done now. A coach who has good connections and a history of placing guys in the NBA, will have an advantage in the recruiting game. Also, winning begets winning! Arizona football has a lot of past mediocrity to overcome. If they can catch lightening in a bottle one of these years, they may get some momentum going their way. Otherwise its gonna be a long uphill battle. In the long run, its just a diversion from the serious issues of life...family, finances, health, relationship with the good Lord...not exactly in that order.

Great thing about sports...one week you're crowing...the next week you're eating it! Hard to stay on the top of the pile for very long. Unless of course, you are a wildcats basketball fan....then the beat rolls on!

In spite of all the banter back and forth...ASU football can be proud of their season...they just met a better team tonight.

Oh well, there's always basketball season now. Oh, wait...not for ASU.

Started a new topic so ASU fans don't have to be reminded of the woeful inadequacy of their basketball team. U of A got it done against UNLV in spite of offensive struggles. Hope to see a #1 beside Arizona in the rankings. How sweet it is! Go Stanford tonight!

U of A fans are 5'6" tall....thats an awesome coincidence...at 66" a wildcats hieght is approx the same as an ASU fans IQ upon graduation! Go Stanford!

God forbid that U of A football and basketball programs are ever successful in the same year...not enough tall buildings in Tempe to handle all the jumpers. This forum would be depleted!
