fixed power scopes are somewhat hard to find. I went through the same dilemma two years ago and really wanted a fixed power on a .308. My .243 has a 4X fixed and I love it. I ended up going 3X9 and I am happy.

A Taurus Judge, which shoots 45 Long Colt rounds, or .410 shotgun shells, in a hand gun is quite formable. light recoil and one hand held, and a flashlight in the other is my go to. Look into .410 defense ammo! would stop me from coming down a hallway!!!
