Good luck!

While preparing for my elk hunt last year, my scope came loose on my primary rifle. I didn't have time to get everything fixed and get back to the range. I picked up the trusty .243, a gun that I have ultimate confidence in, and carried it on the hunt. I did not get a shot at an animal, but I was sure that I was setting myself up to be successful because I planned for the shot with that gun.

lots of hunters on that hunt. I had it two years ago, and found myself surrounded most of the time. Go deep into the woods.

I have for sale a Kimber model 84m classic rifle, topped with a Leupold VX-III 1.75x6x32mm scope, and 134 rounds of .308 ammunition. This rifle is a light weight beauty that shoots sub moa, with good ammo, and is a back country dream to carry. This rifle features a Walnut stock; 22 inch barrel; 1 in 12 twist; and comes in at 5 lbs 10 ounces without scope. It has a 5 shot capacity; Pachmayr decelerator one inch thick recoil pad; match grade chamber; Mauser claw extracter; and an adjustable trigger from 3.5 to 4 lbs. I am the second owner. I was told that it had a low round count, and I shot only 6 rounds out of it. I shot 5 rounds to make sure the scope was on, and one mule deer. I have 60 rounds of American Eagle 150 gr. FMJ Boat-tail, 40 rounds Remington Express Core-lokt 180 gr., and 34 rounds of Federal Premium Vital Shok 180 gr. Tropy Bonded tip. This is my last .308, that's why the variety of ammo. I am asking $1200 for the rifle, scope, and ammo. I will separate the rifle and rings from the scope and ammo, but prefer to keep it as a package. Please PM me if you are interested, and I will answer them in order.

I like the Mossy Oak Brush. I think it works well in all situations, and it is easily available.

The Nuge in germany 1976...who'da thunk it?

Well, that brought back some memories of days gone by. Always loved Ted, as did most teen males in the 70's. Now I like him just as much for his politics. -

Marlin .783 22WMR advice
deercrazy replied to olmos1010's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I would start by going to the Marlin website, and see if you can download the owners manual. That would be the best source for proper disassembly and cleaning. Take your time, and get quality cleaning gear. Being in Mesa, I would go to Bass Pro Shop, or a local gun shop and get their advise about cleaning gear. Take your daughter with you so she can learn how going to the experts will save time and money. Good luck, and please post some pictures on her day a the range. -
Sounds like fun. I wish I had seen this post earlier, as I made plans that aren't as interesting. If they host another similar event, could you let us know. Thanks

I have a Primos tripod that I would sell. It doesn't have a pan head, but it has an adapter to put one on. Primos® New Trigger Sticks With Primos New Trigger Sticks, one hand and the pull of a trigger adjusts the Trigger Stick to your desired height. The Primos Trigger Stick is a lightweight height-adjustable gunrest and optical gear mount, perfect for kneeling or standing. Comes with a detachable 360° V yoke. It fits 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded fixtures for securing optical gear like cameras, spotting scopes, binoculars, laser rangefinders and almost any other pod-mountable device. Features trigger lock, fluid handle movement, whisper-quiet telescoping legs and stronger, light 7075 aluminum legs for easy carry with the included wrist strap. It lists in Cabela's for $169.00, I will sell mine for $75. Pm me if you are interested.
