Scope for a squirrel rifle recommendation
deercrazy replied to PRDATR's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I have a Primary Arms PA6X32-22LR for sale. New in the box. I bought it for a Weatherby Vanguard Compact, but just couldn't find the right mounts to make it work. If you check out Primary Arms Website, you can get all the specs. I did a lot of research because I wanted a fixed power scope, and this one was high on all the best lists for a very reasonable price. -
Primary Arms Classic Series 6x32mm Rifle Scope - ACSS Reticle - 22 LR
deercrazy posted a topic in Classified Ads
I have for sale a new in the box Primary Arms 6X32mm rifle scope. I purchased it direct from Primary Arms, but it did not fit into the scope mounts for the non AR style rifle that I wanted it for. I already have a good red dot on my AR, so this one doesn't need to collect dust in my closet. I wanted a 6X fixed scope, there are only a few fixed scopes nowadays, this scope was on all of the "best fixed scopes on today's market." It has the ACSS Recital. I paid $149 +tax and shipping, I will sell it for $125 FIRM. West valley, can meet at Cabela's or Sportsmen's Warehouse. Text Dave at Six2three-3Seven7-6atezeroTwo Or PM Me -
Hello all, I have been in contact with a life long friend in Wisconsin, and we have decided to go on a feral hog hunt in Texas or somewhere in the south, as we have both retired from full time work this fall. Well, the .243 Winchester round is my cartridge of choice for Coues hunting and for Coyotes in Arizona. I went through my ammo stash, and decided that I was low on ammo for a travel hunt, you know, sight in perfect here, and then check zero on site, and so on. I started to check out Bass Pro, Cabela's, and Sportsman's warehouse. Empty shelves is all I have found. So I headed online, and I have found ammo available, but at double the price of normal, whatever that was several years ago. I find it hard to believe that the ammo companies have overlooked this cartridge for production due to the fact that I know this is a popular round throughout the United States for junior hunters, women, and people that have problems with recoil in larger calibers. There was a post on this site of someone selling bulks .243 ammo, but didn't give it much thought, because you can buy it a Walmart, the hardware store, and anywhere else that sells ammo. Well, not so much anymore. I have thought of selling my gun and buying an even more "off the shelf" caliber, but I am a good shot with my gun, happy with low recoil, and the scope is pretty much dialed in. Frustrated with the way the hunting world is changing over the last several years. Thanks for letting me vent! Dave

I have for sale an AR-15 that I put together from parts I had on hand, and purchases I made to complete the build. The upper is a Radical Firearms 5.56 SOCOM barreled upper, with 16" MHR hand guard. Lower is a stripped Ruger with the Ruger Elite 452 MSR two stage trigger. Black Rifle Depot bolt carrier group, and a Magpul MOE fixed stock. The lower is completed with an Aero Precision MOE complete lower parts kit. Red dot scope is a Tasco. I am looking to get $500, obo. Gun has not been fired, but this is my 6th build, and I have never had a problem with any of them. I am located in the West Valley.

Boyd's Hardwood Gun Stock Weatherby Vanguard

I have for sale a Boyd's walnut gun stock for a Weatherby Vanguard short action. It is all standard length and pull. It also fits Howa 1500 and Smith & Wesson rifle actions. The only thing wrong with it is it's missing a small chunk of wood between the barrel mounting bolt hole, and the magazine well. I have a picture of that area and I believe that it should be easily filled with wood filler when installing the stock. $ 100.00 OBO. PM or text Dave at 623-377-6802. I'm in Litchfield Park and could meet at Cabela's.

DID I JUST POACH A BUCK THANKS TO GOHUNT?
deercrazy replied to gunthenbow's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
My friend, you did the right thing to report your kill. I know it sucks to get bad info when you are trying to do everything right. In this day and age, hunters ethics are in question, and there is no doubt in my mind that you had nothing but the best intentions in your mind! We learn new lessons everyday. Put this one in your bag of tricks, and preach to anyone that will listen to do the their best to learn all the regulations. Maybe all you lost was a few dinners, and pride. Well, if you ask me, you can walk tall, you have admitted mistakes, and learned. Hopefully, you have enlightened other fellow members to make double check their hunts because there are many that would have put meat in the freezer, and not said a word. -
or location specific?

I was reading that Shooters World is going to be opening a new location in Goodyear this fall. 5,000 sqft. of retail, several training rooms, and 24+ lanes. And they say that the Phoenix, and Peoria stores all have ammo, but at restricted ammounts. New store is supposed to be off Litchfield Road, near the car dealers.

That is my old stomping ground. My wife is from Harsen's Island. Only 20 miles from downtown Detroit, but a whole different world once you go across the car ferry to get there. Hope you did some Walleye fishing too. That lake also has some of the best Musky fishing you will find.

Standard grade real walnut and I am estimating the weight at maybe 3 pounds. I searched Boyd's website, but no weight is given. -

I have a 3.5 lb straight Sporting Drop in trigger from Black Rifle Depot that I could part with. It was installed in a gun, but little use. I would part with it for $50. I live in Litchfield Park. I-10 at Dysart.

I have been scrimping and saving for a quality rifle with a wood stock that has looks, sole, and shoots great. I decided on 3 different models by 3 different companies, and I am ready to purchase. What I have found is that the stores are empty, online is out of stock, and if you do find a rifle, there is no ammo to go try it out. Is covid19 really got all these great American companies on their knees, not employing thousands of workers, and can they bounce back. I am trying not to just settle for a plastic stock, low end,, "better in rainy conditions" rifles. heck, I already own a couple of those. I just want a rifle like grandpa had. The bad thing is that all that scrimping and saving, and no rifle to purchase will end up in my kids needing a new battery for their car, or tires, or the wife needing new shoes. I am tired of Covid and not having any fun. Back to work on Monday morning.

So I have maybe $1000 to spend on a rifle. I am really wanting a Winchester Model 70 Featherlight Compact, or a Remington Model 7, or even a Weatherby Camilla (even if it is suppose to be a girls rifle). Those are the models that I would be very happy with, and money saved could be use for a good scope. I want a rifle with taste, sole, and good looks that shoots where I aim. All these models seem to be out of stock in all stores. Like I said, my kids can smell that I have money, and their cars are ready to crap out at anytime to loosen me from my cash. or Like the other day, my over the range microwave quite, the wife told me the tv stopped working this afternoon. Blah, Blah, Blah. I would LOVE a pre64 rifle, but not at 2K. Just bitching, and probably will settle for no new rifle, or a Ruger American in gutless plastic stock.
