Last Sunday I started up my truck to see the battery light flickering. Opened the hood to see the alternator broken free from the bracket which caused one of the bolts to shear off at the bracket. I put Kroil on what was left 2X a day all week and Hunter came out today and removed the stud. It took him longer to take out his tools and get setup than it did to drill and remove the stud. Turned out he used to work for the guy I bought the alternator from. The alternator housing had cracked as Hunter pointed it out to me. I was fortunate that it happened at home and not in the middle of nowhere or on a hunt deep in Sonora. I''ll install a new alternator from Tucson Alternator with a new belt in the morning. The 10mm bolt that sheared off wasn't something that Ford stocked. Special order @ $55 each in a package of 4. Copperstate Bolt doesn't carry automotive bolts. Went down the stree to McFadden Daniels and got a hardened one for $3.

Possibly, technically not but a bit of common sense should be used. If a subdivision is within the National Forest the rule should apply.

Repost this in the Classifieds. The Store is for purchasing CWT Swag.

Thanks for doing this.

I will start a topic - 8 deer bonus points

I'm at 12 but my fall is pretty full, as usual. Not really interested in another Coues tag. Tough decision. Wish there was a December Mule Deer Hunt rifle hunt. -
65 I guess. I hope it's cheaper than regular Medicare. I don't need another monthly payment on top of the $216 for Part A&B I pay now.

We didn't realize how good we had it. Setup a camp and never run into another hunter for a week. Leave an hour before it got light and get back two hours after o'dark thirty. Six hours of sleep worked and a boloney/cheese sandwich and a few power bars was all you needed. Tasco Scope and no binoculars on a tripod. Amazing we ever killed anything. Five miles a day was the norm. Quads and weekend warriors tearing up the country side were non existant. A lot fewer people here in AZ back then, heck you could get two buck tags in 29 and there were 1000 tags for the late hunt. You could buy 5 acres in AJ for $25K.

Blood Oath/Sworn To Secrecy? I have a box or two of those too. Wide World of Maps was a Godsend.

Nothing better to do than stir up racism? You must be real tough. Bet your family is real proud.

I read today it was down to 250 Acre Feet.

Would that be considered a jigging or a freeline setup?

Wonder how much they weigh, 5#'s? -
He went to a military academy for high school but never served.

I've had a few, might still have one. Never had a problem with any of them. Little tricky to take apart.

Nice Wall Hanger Don. I would hang it above my front door.

Might be a bit more than you want but I love mine. https://knifemerchant.com/f-dick-9-in-3-lb-cleaver.html?tm=tt&ap=gads&aaid=ada5w5bcRr0mO&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17335686123&gbraid=0AAAAAD8Gd9p8H43FA2seZHI6MxWHCYpXB&gclid=Cj0KCQjw8PDPBhCeARIsAOJwmWWM7rITtc1Mv2Gcb_d38b7qkTkKbXECQrymAGkFTEIV0FxLUdPiaDAaAt5NEALw_wcB

I just wished they had put the bolt on the right side.

Never heard that one before. I had one in 7BR. 1/2" groups at 100 were the norm.

Great write up. Congrats on a memorable hunt. We deer hunted 29 a lot in the early 90's but on the SE corner but never saw turkeys.

Agree. I bought a heavy duty truckers tarp I put down fist. It takes me less than 15 minutes to put it up by myself.
