I love to turkey hunt and have been lucky enough to kill a few. Probably my most rewarding hunts were my son's only turkey and calling one in for a friends first turkey when we were down in Mexico.

It wasn't from what I remember from a show I watched on the outdoor channel a few years ago. I was surprised to learn there were Bonefish there too. I think it is more of a novelty but they are there apparently. I have never fished for them and have only ever seen them once when I was in Mag Bay a few years ago. There were small schools swimming in and out of the mangroves while we waited on the dock for our ride back to Loretto.

That's what it's all about.

Why does it need to be an Eastern WT? Probably could have gotten you one a week ago,

While I respect your opinion I steadfastly disagree. Hounds have been bred for thousands of years to do just that. Predator control is just one minuit aspect of it. AZ needs to bring back trapping on public lands. Sure it serves a purpose but the shooter needs to cover a lot of ground. Killing isn't pretty and is just one aspect of these hunts. People participate in them for a lot of personal reasons. Not every treed animal is killed each time.

It is very productive.

Congratulation and yes it can be really tough. They seem to know when it's safe to stroll by and when they are being stalked. I knew a guy who move up to a rural town in CO and worked for a local butcher and he would always post up broadheads and various bullets that were retrieved during the process that had not bee the fatal kill.

Noticed on my way back from WCL today the south side of 260 is tore up. What's the scoop Dennis? On a lighter note,,, a chrome and blue Castmaster was getting hammered on every other cast. Jr and I were there at 06:00 and caught a limit with three between 1.5 and 2lbs. Weather came up as we were cleaning fish at 11 and dumped hail and some thunder. Elk were loudly making their presence known for the first hour or more. No wind until almost 10 and fish jumping all day. Drive out from WCL to the 260 had the road covered with ice from the hail, 1"+. Fun day for a couple of Desert Rats.

Congratulations on having some meat for the freezer. My nephew was out this past weekend in Delaware County but got skunked. His buddy did get a rather large doe thought. He got a nice blackbear there last year.

Did you send it overnight? -
That's a good record. With point creep I'm not sure I'll ever draw a Rifle Antelope Tag as a resident.

So were you spraying oil based paint? In the early 70's I worked for a guy that had a few different businesses and one of those was spraying undercoating on cars. We used GRACO sprayers which were really easy to rebuild.

Great Shooting. Lance knows his stuff.

Back in about 92 me and a couple of buddies drove in through New River and camped in the desert below the Mesa. Hunted it for three day and didn't see too much so they left on Sunday. Monday I hiked about half a mile in and was on a flat below the Mesa when I saw two sets of antlers hauling bouncing north. I hauled butt and knowing Mulies usually go up when spooked I soon found them running west about 75' below the rim. I shot the bigger 4x4 and it took an hour to climb up to him. I boned him out and the pack back to camp was brutal. My buddy pulled a 5x6 out of there a few years before.
