Well don't loose any sleep over "groups". If you are a Benchrest shooter then go chase it. If you just have a hunting rig, understand it and know where it will hit the first time since we usually only get one opportunity at a shot, consistency will get you a reasonable close impact out to a few hundred yards. Even 2 MOA will put you in the kill zone out to 400 yards if you have the ability to make that shot. Most people just shoot a couple of times a year. If you want to hone your skill beyond your "natural ability" then go call coyotes, start shooting High Power Silhouette or hunt jack rabbits with your deer rifle when they are on a flat run. Everyone wants to expect they will see deer at a great distance and wait for that perfect shot but reality is sometimes a shot presents itself in a blink of an eye and it's all over in five seconds.

you can catch those stocker trout so easy on powerbait or small castmaster. i was at sunrise last weekend and caught limits of some nice sized rainbows. light line and light weight is usually about the only tricks to catching more than other people. Not much to add to that. My trout rigs are ultralights with 4-6# P-LINE Floroclear. Poles are Shimano Stimula and Shakespeare Micro Graphite and reels are Pflueger Presidential and Shimano Sedona. I will fish one pole with power eggs on the bottom, split shot, #6 octopus hook about 18" up and one or two eggs since they float. Fish will usually hit them as they sink when you first cast out. If not once the line sinks after the cast, takes anywhere from 1-2 minutes. I reel up the slack and wait, if I don't get a strike in 10 minutes I recast. I also will use a bobber, same size hook and a mealworm or piece of worm with a small split shot about 12" above the hook which is about 3' below the bobber. Castmasters are really hard to beat and I use gold, silver and silver/blue. WHen fish are finicky I will toss on a Super Duper, pink/blue or Rooster Tails or Mepps black/gold. It all just depends on what is working but when they are biting just about anything that hits the water will catch fish. One word of advice on P-Line is that the clear is hard to see when reeling in the fish so I also have the chartreuse line on some reels. I won't use small treble hooks because the fish will get hooked down into the gullet and won't be able to be released and you will catch more smaller fish. Get some forcepts to get the hooks out.

I'll take what ever you don't want. Boned out you might get 20# from each one.

We all hunt then "snipe" if we have to.

I have multiple Pelicans and the latches are awesome! The plastic latches on my Coleman broke the first time I used it. I bought some replacement latches that are stainless and have not had a problem in the 4 or so years I have had the cooler.

Good Deal. I had tow big fat sows today at about 150 yards and wished I had my Contender. Snuck up on the by going around the mountain but couldn't find them when I had the "Drop" on them.

I have a Coleman with wheels and an extendable handle that was pricey and is supposed to keep ice for a week. I also have an Artic and I think the Coleman lasts longer.

I've done similar comparisons on optics in the past when I "wanted" a new optic but didn't really need one and had a self imposed ceiling on what I wanted to pay. The more I looked the bigger my budget became. LOL Funny how that seems to happen huh? Went in looking at a Nikon for my AR and came out with an ACOG.

I don't like to touch them either. LOL -
I leave the big 20x80's home and just use 8.5x42's. They seem pretty easy to find with the naked eye and I have only spotted them up twice. I like to travel light.

Usually if it is only one of Master Locks commercial locks. Many construction companies will buy lots of 25-100 locks all keyed the same for locking up gang boxes or chaining ladders.

Well alright. I am going to Duncan in April on a turkey hunt and was told there might be a chance to also do some hog hunting, which would be great but I have never been there before and kinda just fell into a chance to hunt Rios last year on a Turkey FB page. A young guy had a fatal accident on an ATV and left behind a wife and five kids. His friends banned together and one of them offered up a Rio hunt for auction. I told him that I would match the top bid and send the guys wife my paypal account and transfer her the money then if he would let me come a year later. He said he would so it worked out. The hunt is on 4/13 so I am hoping to get a bird then "maybe" a hog with my 45-70. I might drive my F250 or just rent a truck. It's always fun to drive a new vehicle and I love a good road trip. My old girl has 286K and I have had her since 2000.
