Deer AND a Turkey tag for me this morning. Now the waiting and the work begins. Glad I sent my Swarovski's off this week.
-
Good Luck Scott. Still debating on getting a MZ.

Are you looking for a flat coat or long haired?
-
I put in for some other units this year.

They are probably just doing the first pass tags right now so either your 1st or 2nd choice, but don't quote me on that. It will probably be two weeks before the info is actually available.
-
Just get out early and head in by 9:30-10:00. Watch for snakes.

I bank with Desert Schools Credit Union and the funds will show up missing but it can be two or three days before it actually gets posted as to where they went, frustrating.

Has anyone seen any LARGE junipers here in Arizona?

Great pics guys, great pics. -
The Shell Station on McKellips and Center used to do it, not sure if they still so. I would usually get 10 gallons at a time to make the math easier for the girls who worked there but they would usually still get out the calculator. Used to go there all the time but when a couple of guys from the middle east took over the one acted like it was a PIA to wait on me so they don't get my business anymore.

Does the place you downloaded it from have tech support? -
You and everyone else.

I talked to them last year and they quoted me like $350 to put in upgraded lenses.

I sent in a pair of 8.5 EL's today which are about 10 years old, with insurance it was $34 to ship.
-
I was looking online at the new EL's and saw the "field flattener" and wondered about it. I just dropped my EL's in the mail to Swarovski to have them cleaned and gone through and was toying with having them change then lenses out to 10X from 8.5 and the newer coatings but I may have to rethink that now.

Yup, 7/9 at midnight. We can only hope it begins on the 10th.

Yeah, Carbines are an all together different animal since the Garand uses stripper clips and Garands are easier to come by, though they are getting pricey. Carbines were pretty popular in the 80's and if I remember correctly Ruger chambered some Black Hawks in 30 Carbine.

Caliber is 30 Carbine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1_carbine

Nice old gun. That's a heck of a deal.

That's a mess of crawfish, you did good. If you make the holes a little smaller you may not loose as many when you pull the trap up.

That stinks about the scouts. About 10 years ago a guy who worked for our branch in Alb went up into the mountains there to visit some friends and never made it. They found his body a couple of days later apparently he had tried to cross a swollen river and somehow got caught up in it.
