I'd rather sit in my chair out in the desert watching the fire and listen to KRDE. Although now that Tim and Willie and the dittzy third leg are on it gives me more incentive to make my morning commute over by 6am. I just hope and pray it doesn't change the whole format to all day Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift then end up just another "country" station like KNIX or KMLE playing the same songs over and over and over.

God Speed. I hope he has a full recovery. All you folks over 40, go get a checkup.

I'm glad nobody is abusing the EBT system... HA!

And they will probably have a negative balance for the next 12 months as it gets paid back, then the riots will start. -

In my Model 788 I have used 50 to 55 gr bullets on Varmints and Javelina and Federal Premium factory loads with the 55gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claw's for Mule Deer Doe's out to 200 yards with great results. Before shooting big calibers at very long ranges became all the rage the 22-250 was a very very popular caliber for Coues Deer.

WHAT RIFLE WILL YOU BE SHOOTING THIS SEASON?
PRDATR replied to AZ_SAWBUCK's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Nothing special just a first year 700 ADL composite stock in 7 Mag. I do need a lighter stock if anyone has one for sale. It sports a Leupold VX2 but will get a newer Zeiss HD but I have not had the time to mount it. -
Congratulations Noah that's a lot of dedication, getting proficient and being up early.

Here is the article banning lead bullets. Californians can still use lead shot from what I can gather and he did Veto some potentially damaging other bills on the Second Amendment. http://www.latimes.com/local/political/la-me-pc-california-jerry-brown-gun-control-20131011,0,6334949.story

I hunted it about 15 years ago with a friend who hunted it every year. He got a cow I went home empty handed. We rented a horse and a mule from an outfitter and rode in each morning from our camp at the end of the road. Never saw another hunter and we were at about 10,000. I did see lots of coyotes every day. We went in through Purgatory then headed south probably another 10 miles or so until we ran out of road and camped in the pines. I would ride 8-15 miles each morning on the horse while my friend rode the mule. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about horses during the hunt. Mainly that they are like kids and need a lot of fussing over each day before you get to do your own business. My BIL lives in Monument and wants to get into Elk hunting so I picked him up a rifle locally to send him so he can practice and get in shape for the hunt we (me) are planning for next fall. I'm not sure where we will end up but it will not be on horseback.

I don't always agree with everything he says or the way he puts it out but his burping is pretty darn funny.

They filed Chapter 11 in 1990.

I'll take a crack at it if Parrita58 doesn't. I posted a reply about it a little bit ago but it evidently didn't go through.

Duck Hunting Etiquette
PRDATR replied to CouesPursuit's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I see stuff like that all the time during Dove Season, bugs me to no end. I take a couple of grocery store bags with me and breast out the Doves on my tailgate putting the carcases in one bag and take it home and toss it in the garbage. -
how quick will deer drop elevation on Kiabab after 1st snow?
PRDATR replied to apache12's topic in Youth Hunters
You'll be fine. There are always plenty of deer around for the JR Hunt. -
My first Javelina was shot at about 30 yards with a TC in 223 sporting a 14" barrel. He was about 30#'s and the impact knocked him down like he was hit by a bus. Surprised the heck out of me.

Duck Hunting Etiquette
PRDATR replied to CouesPursuit's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
So, what would some of you suggest for someone who has not hunted ducks but has a son who wants to? Are there guides out there who can provide a hunt in an area that isn't high pressure and congested? I didn't know that evenings can be so productive. Everything I have seen on TV and in magazines was all about shooting at first light. -
surprised the national forests haven't been shut down.

I was in 23 last weekend and the FS Roads are all open. -
OK, I'll go check it and get back to you before lunch. I took it apart and the magazine stays attached, so staggered it is. PM me with shipping details and how you want to handle payment. Please plan on shipping it to my office in Tempe 85281. Thanks, Chris

The YMCA in Mesa used to have Judo classes.

Is the black Long Action still available? I'll check the one I have @ home to see if it is staggered or center. It is an 06. Does the staggered feed just add one more round to the magazine?

PRDATR replied to 4Falls's topic in The Campfire
No need to post it and give them any ideas, they are shutting down more stuff every day. The Atlantic and homes on Lake Meade are just the beginning. -
I have a 110E LA which has the blind magazine. I bought this to give to my BIL and the stock which came on it is the original birch stock. With him living in Colorado I'd like to replace that stock. Now ideally, a stock with a floor plate would be nice but isn't a necessity . PM me with what you have that may work and we can either meet in Globe or I' can pay shipping.

I've been looking for a stock like that so if it doesn't work out for AEF I'd like a shot (pun intended) at it.
