Love those old Chevy's.

Scope recommendations for next year's giveaway gun.

That seems to have been their track record for as long as I can remember, hence the love/hate relationship shooters have with them. You would think that after being in business for close to 20 years this problem would have resolved ten years ago but it has persisted. I guess it's cheaper to just keep replacing them under warranty than re-engineer/re-tool and produce a reliable product which the promise of has long since vanished. Their original vision was promising and has been somewhat achieved but is over shadowed by poor quality control. -
This is the second one I have found at the office in the past month.

Is there a way to contact Amanda or an Administrator?

PM Stanley. I believe Chef is also an admin. -

Yeah. I don't know why they even made them in 8 and 10 power. Should have only been 12's and 15's. I like my 12's. -
Harley let me know when you get it mounted. I'd like to look through it.

Gut feeling says Vortex because of the warranty. But they can't handle any abuse that a kid will most likely dish out. I would say Leupold VX Series, uncomplicated and very durable. 2-7, 3x9 or 4-12 in more than enough for that caliber (a Fav of mine). -
It seems to be a common operation for people in their 40's and early 50's. Recovery was fairly text book for the younger friends of mine who have gone though it.

Correct. Nikon is no longer making scopes. I looked at the P-223 and the Leupold equilivent and you loose eye relief on the Leupold as the power is increased. Not the case on the Nikon.

Can the light be reset or is it one and done?

The EP Line use Japanese glass and the SH uses Chinese glass. They do get some great reviews. Worth looking into for sure. https://www.arkenopticsusa.com/about-arken

Any quality spotting scopes out there for sale?
PRDATR replied to Bassmaster's topic in Classified Ads
Great scope but he is looking for a Spotting Scope not a Rifle Scope. -
They usually have a large selection of used tanks at reasonable prices.

Worth every bit of $150 in that condition.

They usually don't have a second draw so you can get them OTC.

Casey, I have a 243 Savage Axis Compact. Barrel is probably 20" and the LOP is probably 12" but I can measure it. It's pretty light and has a trigger set to aboit 2#'s. Let meknow if you want to borrow it for a while, I have ammo too. You can shoot it and compare the recoil to the 257 to see which one is lighter. I think I have a Zeiss 3x9 on it. LMK I won't be shooting it for the rest of the year.

I want one of those.

Do you have a link? I checked here but it wasn't updated. Either that or I'm blind. https://www.azgfd.com/more-than-2200-permit-tags-remain-for-2023-spring-hunts/#:~:text=More than 2%2C200 permit-tags remain for 2023 spring hunts&text=A total of 2%2C201 leftover,659 archery-only javelina
