    Heating you Tent/Camper

I have a Springbar canvas tent and I've always hesitated to keep a gas heater on overnight. However, Zodi makes a HotVent heater that's outside the tent. Two small propane canisters will keep the heat on without the risk of poisoning for as long as 8 hours or so. Cost is more than a Mr. Buddy, but you get a better nights sleep if you know what I mean.

  3. Seek, Attached is a link to the on-line digital archives for Predator Xtreme. The December 2009 edition has a large section on E-calls and call sequences. Might be worth a look. http://www.grandviewoutdoors.com/PageContent.aspx?ID=29

    Predator R-15 project finshed

Awesome rig my friend! The camo pattern on the scope, rings, risers and gun make it a complete package. Gotta love the bipod too. Now all you needs some free time and a few coyotes. After you shoot it, let me know what you think of the trigger. Mines got a slight bit of creep, but not bad overall. I’ve been considering buying a Timney drop-in (there’s always some way to spend more money right?). Are you going to use that honeycomb thing that came with the scope? I haven’t used mine, but wanted to know what you thought. What’s funny is that Remington sells the Byron South version of the R-15 that has the mini-rails on the barrel shield, etc. But half the fun is buying your gun and making it unique to suit you. Way to go…sweet set-up. Thanks for sharing your photos.
  5. otdrs...sent you a IM. You may also be interested in the following if looking for a one-piece mount. http://www.maxicon.com/guns/optics/one_pie...iece_mounts.htm BTW...would love to see picture of the final product when all done.
  6. Correction to my previous post...mount I ended up going with is a one-piece from JP Enterprises, not JP Industries.
  7. otdrs....read your earlier post. I have the same Remington R-15 in .233 in Realtree that I purchased from Bass Pro last July. I bought the Nikon Coyote in the matching camo pattern. After I ordered my gun I bought the Nikon mounts and Reminton mini-risers, which gave me the height that I needed. However, due to the length of the scope and the space needed for the mounts on the Picatinny rail I couldn't get the proper scope relief; I had to creep up on the stock to see properly even with the scope as far back on the rail as possible. I took the mounts off after shooting it a few times and bought a JP Industries one-piece. Doesn't have the matcing camo pattern, but it works great. If you want, you can either purchase my Nikon mounts and Remington mini-risers (at less than new of course), or at least look at them. One other thing, the Nikon mounts are solid, but I was really disppointed in the Remington mini-risers, they seemed like they were made out of cheap aluminum. Just IM me if interested. For whatever reason, I've shot various brands and grain of ammo out of my rifle since purchasing it. You'll be happy to hear that I've never once had a malfunction or had the gun refuse to cycle. However, I've by far had the best accuracy out of the Hornady 55 grn V-max.

Bob, congrats on a successful hunt and a great buck (awesome rack). Thanks again for all of your help during our 4B elk hunt, appreciate your taking the time to come down and hunt with us. Hope Matthew doesn't mind, but I attached a momento...nothing like a Chevlon Canyon drop-off to get your blood pumpin'.
