.300 Win Mag on Javelina...
AZkiller replied to PelaPapas's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have never killed one with a gun, so this year I figured I would drag out the 338 snipe tac with the 300gr vld at 3100fps and see if I can give one a bad day at 1000. -
Sorry, Gotta disagree with you on the warranty. I dropped my 15x58's on a bear hunt last year, sent them in, they fixed them for free, not even shipping, in 6 weeks! I was impressed. Great glass, more light than vortex at dusk. Well worth $500.

Any sucess in 24A this weekend?
AZkiller replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Not to derail this thread but... I also know of people that report 'No Kill' on their survey when they did kill. They worry that somehow G&F is going to track their harvest and punish them by not 'allowing' them to draw a tag the next year. I think this all comes out in the wash and tag numbers are determined by deer survey results that they do each year as well as stratified data (with errors from false and lack of reporting) from hunter harvest surveys. If you want your opinion to be heard re: tag numbers etc, voicing them on a forum isn't the best venue. I would also encourage every hunter to visit a G&F office when the hunt recommendations are open for comment. Become familiar with how the data are used and what goes into the recommendations. As some have already stated about these meetings, there are generally only a few (like 3 or 4 tops) hunters present at each meeting. Be vocal and involved. +1 I would say FAAARR more people mark no kill than lie about killing one. -
Looks more like 105ish

Antelope peak at 3 or 4 years so the older not the bigger. look to pay at least $1000 if you know someone, otherwise access plus a guide fee for 19b.

plz tell me thats a joke How could people lying raise the tags if the kill rate was too high? -
I think every year the biggest buck in the state is in 5b. They are very hard to find however. I would wait another year or two personally. 18b is looking good. 10 always is ok, too much hype though. 19a always has big bucks, watch the houses. the buck in 13 are from 19a. Have fun with that.

Obviously you don't know what you are doing.... You are supposed to get super excited, heart rate around 165, bp at 210/143, jerk the heck out of the trigger and miss the SOB!

Its there for a stripper clip What's that?? Never seen one. Mainly used in the military without a scope. You open the bolt and shove 5rds in the mag held together by a strip of formed sheet metal that the case rims are slid into.
