Emergency communication with the BP
AZkiller replied to Ace High Benny's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
If you can find the frequency that they are on, you can talk to them... Illigally, but you can. There is no "encryption code" this is the real world, not a movie. Get a ham that you can open up or find one that is M.A.R.S. enabled and it will talk. -
Emergency communication with the BP

Just shoot the "Problem", then you won't have it any more!! Problem solved! If you realy want to have a radio to talk to them on, I would call one of the radio shops in Tuscon and let them know what you are looking for. I wouldn't worry about FCC laws if you were in a real emergency. -
Why doe's the military use them? And why is every custom based off of them? They are the best action design that there is.

He's lying, There are NO bucks!!! Only DOE'S!!! Dripping springs is AWESOME!!!! Hardly any quads too!!
-
I have the 26th hunt in 24a. I don't think there are any bucks up there, only doe's. You should go down to dripping springs. Lots of bucks everywhere!

Here's a Pic. -
As I was pulling out of the 303 road onto the 77 yesterday, one of us was pulling in. It was around 10:30 on Sun you were driving a late 90's Ford extended cab, white, lifted and Coueswhitetail.com sticker. Who are you?

What do you think he will score?
AZkiller replied to CouesBuckhunter's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I would guess him at 1 1/2 yrs. Too young to shoot. -
I had almost the same thing happen to me 2 yrs ago in 3c. 3 days in a row, 3 different 5x5's at less than 5 yards. It's kind of creepy.

If I have any fouling I like Sweets. I Molly cote my bullets though and would recomend it. Also, I clean my gun alot more often, every 10 shots or so.

That taxidermist doesn't have a clue.

If you don't wan't to spend a ton, start with a 700. You can get one used for around $400. A barrel is around $280. I like Lilja. I have a Lilja, kreiger, bartline and douglass. The Lilja cleans the best, then the Bartline. Gunsmiths work mostly with a 700 style action, so it is the cheapest route to build. Bob Brackney is a good one. Mini blueprint around 200, fit and chamber 175 and muzzle brake installed 225. McMillan stock is a must, don't underestimate a great stock, it's just as important as a great barrel. That is going to run you $400 or so and another 150 or so for bedding. Even if you buy a Jewel trigger, it's $220 at best, but I have Timney's on my hunters and they work great at $125. A decelerator butt pad installed is another $80. Obviusly other options would bring the cost up like a Harris bi-pod, fluting, or coatings and of course a scope. I think it's real tough to spend 5K on a great long range set-up. What I have listed will run you just over $2000 W/O a scope. More than likely it will be better than any 5K gun that you could buy with the help of the right gunsmith and the time you put in to work up a load.

You forgot a coupple of 20oz ribeyes from aj's, potatos and beer. Chicken cuttlets is the kind of crap I have to eat at home. And ground beef? Realy? I guess it's not that bad, my buddy would stop at taco bell for a dozen bean burritos for a 3 day hunt...that's it.

No one gave you a taxi. Mark Plunket is in camp verde. The best taxidermist I have ever known.

I like the west side of the Winchesters

110 7/8

80 plus what? Looks too heavy for 80. I'm going to put the length around 16, and with the look of the mass, a total score of around 85-86. I'd get a second look at the buck in the last pic, he looks like he could be a TOAD!!!
-
If I am not mistaken, the majority of the antelope up there came out of 19a. The G&F could tell you just get the bioligist phone number and talk to them. I would think you should be able to find an 80in buck without too much problem.

Looks slightly down hill so elevation doesn't need to be moved. I would add 3/4 min wind and let her fly. I am zero at 340 yds with my 30-416 rigby. 210 gr vld's 118gr 50bmg. They are flying at 3450fps with a sd of 11. It takes me 13min to get to 1000.

Don't shoot the last one!!! I'd like to see another pic of the one in the second pic, 2nd to the right. That's the only one I would look at again. You changed pics, now none of this makes any sense. Look at the first one and the last one (the buck in the 3rd one) closely.
