any info can help, I recently had injured my ankle, looking for a place to hunt where I can walk about 2 miles tops.. before my foot starts acting up, I got a mule deer hunt coming up in the middle of November. Thanks

My buddy will all be excited, once at camp we'll set up everything, do some scouting.. then I would do everything to wake him up in the morning..most times, I will leave him in camp to go hunt!

We hunted mule deer in November, Opening day it snowed and rained all day. So we hunted the lower part around Alma, upon clearing in the afternoon, we went back up the mountain past Pueblo park, Guess all the Hunters packed up and left. anyway We saw 2 bucks, one was a huge 28" wide 4 point, the other was a smaller 4 point. As luck often happens, the Bigger one headed for higher country, so we ended up harvesting the smaller 4 point. We ahve seen these two bucks together for the past 2 years, So I will be headed back down there, if I get drawn, and look for the beast!

to date their is 54 mule deer tags still available on the game an fishe web site. for unit 23. you would first need to set up a user I.d and password, and be issued a NM hunter I.D number before you can see the listing

was out there this weekend south of Reserve NM, saw gobblers struttin on an old logging road. tried callin them in, they were well out of shotgun range still. finally a finally another diferent tom came up behind us trying to join in on the action, when it was met with 3 1/2 inches of #5's!

We always hunt around that area, good place would be saddle mountain area, Saliz pass on north west side, dar always in the open in the evenings, and mornings, and legit area should be good

Sorry for that happening to you, Technically you reduced it to possession. With a fatal shot. any true hunter would have given up the buck even though they also shot it!
