Yeah good luck everyone, My buddy just adopted a baby today, so he is not going on his hunt this weekend, so I guess I'm headed up to help my bro. shoot a little carp in 3c. Good luck to all, younghunter tie that buck up across the road and I'll take him in Nov. Houston

Yeah Josh very nice, I read it last night. Congrats on the great find. Cool write up. Thanks

I'm taking a few new big game hunters out for their first hunt. First weekend if I glass anything over 100 I told them it is mine, anything under they can fight about. Last week if I get it to myself I'm going to hold out again until the end for one that will look good on the wall, unless I take my son along, I'll shoot the first buck in sight.

I say both, my dad taught me when i was young the correct way was COWS, but very few people know what I mean, so I say Cows deer, Coos Deer. I really don't care and just because you may pronounce MOGOLLON something different than muggy own, doesn't mean your wrong, just not native muggy ownian.

George, I'm excited that the mine road is shut down, it should eliminate alot of traffic in through McGee Ranch it is a hike. Maybe we will meet up.
-
I usually hunt the sierritas I also found a good spot on cliffs of colorados. We may or may not be camped, I have a buddy who has family down there. I also like to help pack out big bucks if you need anything. Good luck hope to run into you Houston Davis 480-540-4445 Either my buddies black Toyota truck or Black/Grey Isuzu Rodeo

I'll be down there but I usually backpack in, maybe I'll get to meet up with you.

Dan those are great finds, thanks for sharing I love those extras off of the 5ths. Awesome Houston

gnoto-I like the sierritas also. I'm glad they blocked the road to the mine from McGee ranch it should make it better for those that get out and walk a bit. I glassed up a couple of bucks on Red Boy peak and then missed a shot, at least I got a Nov. hunt, hopefully Oct. hunters don't get him. I've spent a little time in the cerros but haven't spent anytime in the Las Guijas (sp). I think I'll spend some time in down there in Nov. Anyway, I sure can't wait until then.

Back from our goat hunt...
WHT_MTNMAN replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Congrats on some nice goats. Way to go, good luck on your coues hunt later. Sure is a great time of year. Houston -
That is a cool experience, i was once archery deer hunting in 4a and saw a group of cow elk headed toward me, i watched as they passed about 20 yards and then got up and headed down the trail they came in on. I saw a lone cow about 100 yards off and I layed down in the tall grass in the trail. She kept coming and walked over the top of me and as she smelled me she turned on a dime and stepped on my thigh and my ankle, then circled around and headed back up the trail, pretty fun.

Congrats on good bull, way to go.

Well, I try to take notes, I keep a little journal but moon or what not won't determine if I go out or not. As one wise man ( I use that term loosely Bullwidgeon ) said, to this effect, If I waited until the moon or whatever was perfect I'd probably not ever get out. I get such limited amount of time in the hills that I go when I get to go, (when my wife says I can. ) If there is a full moon the night before, then well good. If not then that is good also at least I am out.
