I carry a G20x now in AK I like having 20 rounds. I'm sure I would go 10mm if it was solely for protection purposes but I already have a few 9mm so no need to re invent the wheel. I like this article. Not peer reviewed but good info. https://sportingclassicsdaily.com/defense-against-bears-with-pistols-97-success-rate-37-incidents-by-caliber/

Quality of hunt was down but I don't think the quality of deer was. I knew of and know of a couple real good bucks alive that never showed up. Or at least I never heard of anyone finding them. So who knows??

I would build a 25 CM (I just had a 25SST built from Todd South that is about perfect except it maybe too much for ONLY Coues) You could get away with less if Coues was your only game. MY 25SST should hammer elk out to 800+ right now it has only killed a bull at just under 400 yards. I have a 25CM that has killed lots of Coues but it isn't a pack gun. So I would go with the 25CM caliber but built how I had my 25 SST built. Defiance AnTI action I love my proof barrel but I've heard they have had some recent issues with QC. 1:7.5 20-22" with suppresor. 135 Berger or 131 blackjack, I've been extremely happy with the performance on game. I really like my AG alpine hunter stock Triggertech Tangent Theta 315m Lots of Lances influence on the above build. I chose them for overall light weight but not compromising long range if necessary. I also like the 25 calibers because they have some of the best BC bullets available and not everyone is shooting them. Can't resist to post critters again. My 25 CM My 25sst

SOLD Custom 2018 Honda Pioneer 1000 Deluxe Red/Black (Price Drop again)
WHT_MTNMAN replied to peasty69's topic in Classified Ads
There are many more "comfortable" or luxurious options than a Pioneer but for true hunting off road capabilites, reliability etc...nothing I've seen beats the Pioneer. All of my polaris or can am friends make sure they run their machines in low and 4 wheel drive so they don't burn there belts up on the steeper drives. Almost all have had broken axles of some sort also. I manually put mine in 1st or 2nd gear and all but the toughest hills I can still climb easy in 2 wheel drive. The bed and doors rattles a little bit but I added some shrink tubing and that helped the latches keep from rattling. Bump for a sweet rig. -
You should be able to find the best guides in the business, those late hunts are better than the early rifle bull elk tag in 36a.

Free Bump. Reminded of this. 😀

I'm sure I won't draw but here is a video my best friend since childhood took last fall. I don't normally like to post other people's videos but this one is cool. VID-20210910-WA0001.mp4

Big ol frame on that buck! Sweet character. Thanks for telling the story. Some of my favorite hunts are when I was hunting by myself. Great job

We used tennis balls when I was a kid. On a 22 rifle. Worked pretty good

Thats why I don't share too much on instagram and facebook, (last year or two) but this site is still "home" for me and one of the few places I like to share and support.
-
dang I was hoping it was going to be getting quicker. Thankfully I have a couple already but I'm waiting on two from July.
-
That's always cool. Those bulls get pretty dumb that time of year. Thanks for sharing. I wish more people would share experiences, pictures and videos.

Where is it located? Tried to send pm
-
I tried to avoid the valley as much as possible but I do get down there every once in a while. I have a few other people interested in some if you are not sure if you will make it or not. So keep me posted and I'll see if I have enough to share if we haven't met up
-
I'm not in the east valley but can probably get some to you. I have a partial opened 1lb and barely opened 8lber if you don't mind dipping into it. Just opened in Sept 565 is what I have

Often times if a female with kittens can't get the animal to the kittens or kittens to the animal it will keep killing not understanding of course that they are all locked up. Happens up here with friends of mine from time to time.

Start new guide service or guide for an outfit?
WHT_MTNMAN replied to couesaddict13's topic in The Campfire
Talk with your accountant. I've had my guides license for 10 or 15 years off and on and have never guided for money, but we can always figure out ways to write off some amount of gear, fuel etc...Even if you took 1 client a year you can take a loss and get a lot of gear written off.. I bet you can "contract" out to an outfitter and write-off more than you think.
