He sells a lot and Im sure he has thick skin and knows the value of each bump. I agree they are worth what someone will pay for them.

That kind of surprises me. I dont pay high prices I have enough but I have a buddy that buys almost all he can and he has the money to do it and he told me he has looked almost everywhere and it isn't in stock at hardly any price. IDK like I said I don't need anything right away. It is getting crazy and my guess is it won't get better anytime soon.

One of my patients owns a little gun store up here and he said he could finally find some at $1 a round. So he had to mark it up a little bit just to make a small profit. I think the only way prices will ever come down or at least stop jumping is when it gets expensive enough that no one will buy it, until that day we are in for an expensive 4 years. The crazy thing is if I lived down there I would probably pick this up because I did well with .22 in the past but not .223

I actually could care less either way EXCEPT a couple out loud thoughts. 1. I hate more regulations......if the deer #s are on the decline how about some sound management and limit the amount of tags not how someone hunts. ( that can be another discussion.) 2. I am very hit and miss personally with how many cameras i have up but I have only 1 time hunted over a spot i had a camera. Funny thing is a buck i killed was not on the camera but I took a live picture when i glassed him up before the hunt started... I absolutely love to see pictures of wildlife....trail cams are pretty dang cool...just look at some of the pictures people have shared over the years. I almost exclusively use cameras within a couple miles of my home to give me something to do during the summer before antlers are big. 3. It will hurt the "weekend warrior" long before it hurts the guides and outfitters. They spend enough time they will still get it done. I kind of like the idea of less cameras and maybe wished they had some regulation not just a complete ban. My .02

Thanks guys it is always fun hunting with your family. Funny story is that he runs cross country and track and he talked a little smack about this ol man keeping up with him. Little did he know that I am still in decent backpacking shape and since I was splitting the load up I made sure to load him up a little heavier than I normally would.

Dont worry much, this year is tough. Ive hunted Coues for many many years and still have days when I see little to nothing. It is hot and dry. Deer are going to bed early staying down more during the day...going to the bottoms where you cant glass them up and not leaving til dark. Keep at it...and take your time.

I actually have a 31.5 VXR from January. Located in Show Low area. Ambush/ qad rest 29.5 draw length 70 lbs Probably would do $700 if I didn't have to ship.

I too have not worried much about FOC....until this year. Research and real world applications show improvment in broadhead flight and accuracy and penetration with an increase in FOC. I know I like to have the most confidence possible in archery and if that means changing things up than I do it, it sure doesnt mean what we have used for decades wont work

About the only way to significantly increase FOC without adding a bunch of overall weight is to use a small diameter arrow with low gpi. Ive been very happy with my Goldtip airstrikes but they are pricey. They come with about everything you need. But you can add stainless steel inserts or 125gr and that helps..

I killed mine on the 5th day and it was 0° nothing ninja about that hunt...just scout and be in the right position

After 17 days scouting I made a mistake and shot the wrong buck opening weekend. Scouting went great lots of big and solid bucks. I had a huge hit list and it all went to crap as a group of bucks were coming into my stand the biggest buck was leading. At some point they switched spots and this buck led the group when I shot him at 12 yards. I had my duffel bag stolen from the back of my truck in the great city of Flagstaff. It had all of my hunting clothes, boots misc hunting gear and worst of all my 15s. Sometimes that is what happens.
