Long Range Fixed Blade Field Point Accuracy

I hate shooting mechanicals unless I'm shooting long range. I do prefer to be a bowhunter instead of an archer and get in close. In my experience with a properly tuned arrow/head combo and a bow most fixed heads will shoot the same. That being said in a pack of 3-6 broadheads only 1 or 2 fit that criteria. I've often times had a different broadhead on each arrow. They all shot the same. For fixed I prefer the G5 striker and wacem. The 3 blade slick tricks did well for me. Again out of every 6 broadheads only a few work. Ive had really good luck with Sevr and Bloodsport night fury for mechanicals as far as flight goes.

Long Range Fixed Blade Field Point Accuracy

Laws of physics do not allow a fixed head to fly the same as fieldtip at extended ranges. In my experience 70 and 80 yards is where you start to see fixed heads fly a bit low. According to some research on the hooter shooter even mechanicals will not fly a 100% the same at long distances. That being said you can counteract all of this with changing tune slightly. (Move rest) or add a few grains to back of fieldtip to counteract drag/wind and longer ferule etc.. The best ones ive found are those with the shortest ferrule and smallest cutting diameter

    Tacoma questions

To those of you that know more about it than me I have a question. I know they hold their value ridiculously well but if anyone could give an estimate of how much over or under KBB they are worth. Specs 2010 silver double cab Tacoma TRD off road pkg. 83,000 one owner, older lady that just got diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Couple of small dings, but in very good shape. Thanks, just looking at ideas.

    Elk and cattle.

Elk hate cows in general but it still doesnt mean they wont feed and water occasionally together. In many many years of running a few cameras in the 3c area ive never had a picture with cow and elk on salt together.

    Mexico 2020

Had a great trip to Mexico and killed some great bucks. I should have killed this buck. I found him bedded in the shade tending a doe and had my brother shoot his biggest buck. I'm happy for him I made a great stalk on a cool buck and literally missed him 2 times at 20 yards. My plan was if I didn't find a good buck than I wanted to shoot one with my bow. Last morning I actually found a buck that I wanted. After a little rodeo and him soaking up 3 bullets he was done. Killed a good Tom as bonus One of my favorite things about Mexico

Their foot is in the door!

Its because you have a job, some of us are mostly unemployed right now. Personally I'll be fine for a few months but it really hurts some of my employees that are single parents etc.. I think it would surprise most people how much a small business owner actually thinks about and cares about his/her employees. They are our lifeblood and right now our hands are tied. Its tough to be told I can't go to work.
