I am scouting almost every day from June on, I am a huge advocate of scouting from a far. Even when I come across animals on the road I rarely stop and keep moving so as not to spook them, including does and cows. I never call a bull in anymore and try my best to stay out of their comfort zone. I think someone that has a tag deserves this from me. That being said I love that people are getting out and enjoying this time of year. Im blessed to hear bulls from my bedroom window almost every night and I realize not everyone has that opportunity. I never fault someone from enjoying bugling bulls and calling them up close, BUT if they don't think they are educating them they are sadly mistaken. I think a little common sense goes along way, we are blessed to live in a nation and the State of Az that affords us the luxury of public lands. My .02

They got busted and paid for it...lots of people knew about it, just not all of you young guys.

WOW, some impressive bucks for sure!

Pretty sure Marvin got a scouting package or something, which to me doesn't matter, but evidently to some it makes it less of an accomplishment????? It is a giant buck that took lots of time to kill. Huge congrats Marvin, it is a buck dreams are made of. I am extremely jealous and I love that buck.

I have one the solid color, can't remember off hand what it actually is. I'll be home tonight if you are interested.

Huge congrats to you!! Giant buck

You can store it at my place...Pinedale/ Clay Springs

Stud buck Shelvin, I figured it wouldn't be too long into the hunt before you killed a great buck. Perfect looking buck!

What a stud buck and great story, way to get it done!!

I loved my ol vasque sundowners, its nice having those Kenetrek resoled. I think back 6 years ago it was $80??? Not sure the price now.

Over the years I've heard of probably hundreds of guys that shoot 210 berger with 90-92 grains of Retumbo. Seems to be a very good load for most factory and custom rifles. I would also look at 215/230 gr if it was me.

I hate wearing a 10" boot, and from all that I've read and studied the main thing a taller boot gives you is ankle protection, not support. The support is dependent quite a bit on the stiffness of the shank and not the height. All that being said I took 120+ lbs off an incredibly steep mtn in AK on my Goat hunt and the boots did great, me on the other hand was pretty beat up.

No offense to the above post but Danner pronghorns do not hold up at all compared to a real good quality boot. I have had multiple pairs of danner pronghorns and they have their place for sure. I have never used the Crispi Idaho, but I have the Crispi Wyoming and I love them, I've been very happy with the fit and comfort. The sole is very quiet, but has also held up well for me. The fit with Crispi is better than most boots I've worn, including all things Danner, Vasque, Kenetrek and a few others.

I think I read that Kuiu is releasing the attack pant and guide jacket in solid colors. Guide jacket and attack pant have always been in solid colors, They are just adding more options of solid colors. As far as I know the guide pant still isn't being offered in Solid.

I use backcountry navigator and can dowload before and use without service. Great app not much experience with the others..

That is a great story and a huge accomplishment. Wide open flat country and you did it in a wheelchair! Awesome!

Welcome to the site and to CW. Lots of good info on Az game and fish website, but I think you are on a good path with unit 32 and 33. Both have good populations of Coues. If I may offer one suggestion. Usually during the Archery hunts, (August, Dec, and Jan) finding a Coues buck will not be the challenge. It will be making it all come together with archery tackle. I really enjoy backpack hunts and normally prefer to get away from the crowds myself, but in these hunts, the best recipe for success will be multiple attempts, shots, stalks etc...on Coues bucks. For that reason I don't always recommend spending your energy "getting away". Spend your energy and your time getting close. Good luck to you!

On my cams I saw more extras last year, this year I see more inlines. Like your bottom 6x7. Lots of 7's etc.. Great looking bulls. Congrats to those with tags, its always fun this time of year. -
At one time I had an outdoorsmans, Large bogen, swarovski, vortex, and 2 promaster xC325 I used the 325 90% of the time..I'm sure there are others but for just a bit over $200, it is hard to beat. The 525 is a bit bigger and costs a bit more.

My eyes are narrow and I put an extra small plate on the bottom and the adjust to the narrowest just fine..

I hope everyone freaks out, especially about the prarie dogs. They have let (introduced) them into places they have never been. P-Dogs are destroying private property all over Az
