Nice buck... looks mighty tasty also. -
If you are glassing with a spotter than I agree an angled is more versatile, but I still prefer a straight eyepiece. When I change from my binos to a spotter 15-20+ times a day, the straight is quicker and IMO better.

Man, I missed the complete story somehow on here...I saw you had shot those awesome bucks and was waiting for the story, I wonder why I couldn't find it when I searched for it. Huge congrats again!!

Did I miss the pics of the bucks??? Congrats on some mature bucks...

It's been a kind of slow hunt... Some good bucks being seen and taken, next few days should be awesome.. Congrats on a great buck, good luck with the other tag.

Kids shot both their elk on Friday afternoon. My son shot the cow at 633 yards (one shot), after the calf bedded down I was able to get my daughter within 12-15 yards and as we leaned against the tree she shot her first big game animal. Couple of random pics. My son shot from the "The Gun Claw" or TriClawps after not being able to get steady sitting down with the bipod. 300 ultra and 280ai. Both did great work one shot kills with 210 gr and 140 gr Berger Sorry about the poor picture quality, my wife had an old Iphone that wasn't doing well in the dusk. Got to share it all with the whole family, what a great evening.

It is not a race issue, it is a sovereign nation issue, where rules do not apply across the board. That is the reason so many items are dumped on the rez, State and county LEO's do not patrol the rez.

Kuiu belt is nice and thin so you do not have wear from hip belt etc...it will not work to carry a gun.
-
Same as many of the above posts, Carhartt for coues hunting. I have and use both sitka and kuiu but they will not work in most of Coues country. Double front Carhartt are my favorite even in warm weather, that and a nice pair of gloves will work wonders.

I have two pair of hardscrabble, to me they work well. I like having a waterproof membrane. Just be prepared to repair the sole after a couple of years, but it isn't really that expensive if the boot fits you well.

That is Awesome!!! I have a few points for Goat in UT, and I can't wait to get drawn. I'm also wanting to kill mine with a bow, nicely done.

As I posted in another thread, if you are sitting still or in a tree stand than it probably isn't what you want but hunting and hiking even just a little movement it will keep you warm. My late season bull last year was long sleeve shirt, under armour hoodie ( I've since bought the down jacket) guide jacket and vest. I killed at 0 degrees...did great. Waiting to start tracking I got a little cold. I waited for almost an hour.
