    Turkeys and rain?

If it is raining fairly hard they will be out in the wide open where they can see...normal sleet, little snow won't mess them up much.

Toyota Tundra Owners..... Yea or nay

Rossi- I disagree, most Tundra owners have been other truck owners due to the relative short time of Tundra production. Very rarely do you have Tundra owners that revert back to the other brands. 1. Reliability is King, and though the Tundra isn't perfect. Many of us do not have thousands of disposable income to buy a vehicle and keep putting money into fixing problems. For the most part Tundras just don't have problems...Even the first few years didn't have many issues..my dad has a 2001 Tundra with 320k. He had a fuel pump go out at 270k, that's it. A person may prefer the looks and style or individual features of other brands but for most of us the reliability trumps any quirks the Tundra has. It is the best value overall, just look at resale.

Nothing fancy but in perfect shape. I'm in Pinedale Houston It is something like this, just going off memory. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gorilla-Gear-Kong-Treestand-20-lbs-/271804939495

    FIRE SALE. SAKO, KIMBER, Leupold

Hoghntr - If today wasn't such a slow work day I wouldn't waste any time on this thread, BUT here I am. First I don't know you, but from what I've read you seem like a stand up guy willing to help anyone out if you can, you contribute to the site and to many of the members and yet you seem to have appointed yourself the cw.com sheriff, or Admin spokesman. (just as of recent,) I've been around a long time and have seen many members come and go and dynamics change and I appreciate your concern but find it a little tiresome myself. Brad- take it easy, its the Internet.

    Outdoorsmans Tripods

BTW I have a Promaster Fiber carbon and my outdoorsmans I like better, but for quite a bit more money. The Promaster is good especially for the price.

    tripod head

Outdoorsmans new micro and original panhead are the best IMO...I had Jim white and went to outdoorsmans a few years back and it was the best move I've made...

    Outdoorsmans Tripods

The new micro panhead is nice...legs are awesome but you can get a nice set of legs for way cheaper I would go that route...I don't think there is a better head than the original and the new micro...

Does Working Out Help You Hunt Better?

In direct answer to the title of the thread, Yes it helps you hunt better, NO it does not make you a better hunter. IMO the greatest factor(besides a little luck) in making someone a better hunter (I'll define as increasing success) is TIME. Time spent studying maps, scouting or actual time hunting etc... If by working out it allows you to spend more time in the field either during a backpack hunt, or just the mental fortitude to keep going then yes it helps.

    Crispi Boots

Anyone have any real world experience with Crispi Boots. I'm looking to buy a new pair of boots. I've searched high and low and it seems that Crispi may fit the bill. I've been wearing Kenetreks for the last 7 years, but I've had some issue with heel slippage when going up steep hills. (I've read Crispi fit a bit better for us with narrow heels) I'm looking for a boot that is durable like Kenetreks but has a more flexible upper/shank. I want them for moderate backpacking and hunting. If anyone has any opinions on them I would appreciate it. Thanks,
