Yeah he didn't go far with that. Great job

Well it has been low 40s at my place at 6300' and that looks significantly higher. I'm betting it was in the 30s or even lower so yeah I'm sure the meat cooled down just fine without a cooler.

What a giant!! Congratulations on a superb buck and thank you, thank you for sharing. I know most people probably saw it on social media but I love seeing them on this awesome site.

I get that...I'm telling you I see a bunch down there is all. Take it for what it's worth. -
That is a cool buck, I like the character and the Irony

Thanks. We really did have a great time. GroundPounders killed this bull the next day. I had him somewhere between 375-80. I heard he went quite a bit bigger.

For what it's worth I see suppressors down there all of the time. I know a lot of people take them with no consequences. -
That will be awesome...I've always wanted a big ol moose

Yeah thats about close enough. those shoulders are tough. Very tough.

Super cool, wide buck. I am a sucker for wide bucks for sure. Every year it gets harder and harder to draw a decent tag and find a decent deer, way to get it done on that hunt.

Great bull! I love the bull and the character especially that 5th. So cool

That is a stud Coues, love the drop!! -
I think it depends on what you want to kill. If you want to shoot a mature buck but are not picky about score I would just pack 12s. At most reasonable distances you can tell if it's a solid buck or not. If you are "trophy hunting and want to make sure you are shooting a 100" or better buck you will need a spotter. I ditched my 15s for 12s and I have never looked back. I would take 12s and a light weight spotter or just take 12s. That is my recommendation

Nice Job! looks like a good heavy buck.

Photo of Your Very First Coues

This wall has been shown a few times on this website but it has evolved a little bit over the years. My first is the one right above the antelope. We sold the house and all the mounts in various forms of storage at this time... -

To be fair the pants are Kuiu, so there is that. Thanks everyone, It's still nice to share a pic or two, I just cant do other forms of social media much. I did learn to like everyone's comments though so maybe I am cut out for this social media hunting.

You aint a kidding. I used cameras as an excuse to go in the woods every couple of weeks. I haven't been once this summer. Partly because all I have going on, but partly because I don't have any cameras up. Its not worth it to me to have AZGFD looking at me, so I elected to not use them at all.
