It was found with a bunch of other coues sheds in a house that was cleaned out. No reason not to think Coues, but who knows..Possibly a Mexico buck.

Yeah I'm jumping a little, looking at a couple of units I've never had a tag in. I decided to change in hopes of getting further away from people.

Conor- I think because he is from Lakeside he probably is on a fire dept up there. Why don't you post a pic and story of the lion you glassed up and killed this year, pretty cool and rare. You accomplished in your young age something that 90% of us will never make happen. Nice job. I think it is very tough to compare, I think if you spot and stalk getting a 85 incher is like shooting a 220+ carp. At least mine felt like that. Probably 100 inches is pretty close, maybe a bit less. EDIT>>> I just found your post on that lion...congrats again.. I didn't know you posted that.. SWEET

I've shot alot of heads and really like the G5 Striker, very sharp and extremely tough. Get something that flies true out your bow. Make sure you broadhead tune, then most any head will fly good.

I always fish more on weather than on flow, but I know that I don't like it over 550 fps. I always fish for bass and not trout. If we go before April we don't catch bass but some good cold water cats can be found.

That is a way cool looking shed. Good luck finding all of those 50 inchers.

I honestly can't remember how many arrows I have in the tree or how many times I missed, I haven't been there for awhile but if I remember you can hit the road further down if you miss and seems more unsafe now then it did when I was a teenager.

You know I completly understand. In the last week I could have killed 3 smallish bucks (1 coues and 2 mulies)I would have easily been happy with in Dec. but now that it is a new year the big ones are just out of reach....so far. Good luck shooting that guy, looks like a good buck.

I've been busy working/hunting etc.. and didn't post last years NM buck. I hope you enjoy it, my son got to watch me crawl 2-3 hundred yards looking through my 15's on the tripod, trying to get within range. He told me on the radio that this is the buck we should take. He got to see the shot and the does run off. I loved the chance I got to hunt with my son. Thanks to my good buddy Andy on scouting the ranch a few times before I got there. Not the biggest buck but right at 14" 6"bases and 5" prongs give or take, a very symetrical low/mid 70's buck.
