Dove hunt turns into archery deer hunt!

Tell your buddy congrats.. BTW doesn't everyone take everything Eastmans say to heart. To take pictures you put the animal in a natural position. I haven't seen too many deer running around with tags around the antlers. -
Nice job Jason, some great pics and memories... I wish I could make your stone hunt, but I will have student loans to last a few more years... Dall is my most important of the slam... I'm jealous nice job. Sorry to hear about Greg Houston

Man I leave AZ for a few weeks, get the picture of the bull on my phone and then hear all this stuff. Crazy... man I can't wait to get back home.

Way to go Jason, nice pictures, looks like he might be a pretty wide buck. Later -
Great buck, thanks for sharing it with us.

Going well...can't wait to be done. Have you gotten any good pictures, or videos of the elk this year? After not getting drawn for 9 years and then getting a tag last year was pretty hard on me....I had been accustomed to not having a tag and didn't hurt as bad, it hurts this year.

broadheads you guys are shooting?
WHT_MTNMAN replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I wanted to shoot something smaller and that would fly excellent out past 60 yards. I decided to shoot the tekan II's. After one season shooting them I decided that I didnt' like having to check everytime I took one out of the quiver if it had "deployed" a little. That was one extra step I didn't like. I now shoot the G5 striker for everything. Shoots straight, knock off of the wac em, but 4x as sharp as the wac em. I shoot them out to 60 and they fly great. -
Yep I saw it. Thanks...

Tony I didn't see it... I'll look for it and answer it. Thanks again for the write-up. .................. I see what you are talking about..... Yep I saw it and thanks. Houston

Awesome Velvet!
WHT_MTNMAN replied to COOSEFAN's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I was hoping for some big bulls, not a bunch of weiner velvet. Congrats... hope you have a great year. -
I really like the Minox, but like YH said they didn't fit my eyes very good. I have never regretted getting the swaros.
-
Congrats again Ron... I haven't checked that one out yet.

Some SWEET elk picts
WHT_MTNMAN replied to Foundry Man's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
J-another lope tag huh? pretty cool. I'm doing a Colorado rotation so I applied and got a mulie tag east of Grand Junction. I've been building up bonus points there. Hopefully a Coues tag in AZ here. Nice pictures anyway. One of the dental students here said he ran into you in Silver. Good luck in the burro's. -
Thanks Jason- Tony did a pretty good write-up...too bad it wasn't a picture of the bull i missed, but i'm not complaining. Hope NM treating you ok, just one more year here and than we hope to get out of here. later, Houston

WHT_MTNMAN replied to akuritone's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
If I wouldn't have seen those I wouldn't have believed it...I still have a hard time of it. Nicely done, cool pic. -
Man sorry to hear about that... That really sucks, I've lived here in the "valley" for 7 years now and have been broken into only once, knock on wood.......thieves really get under my skin. I hope all turns out ok

My dad pulls a heavy trailer, bobcat and other concrete materials with his 2001 Tundra and it has 170,000 and no signs of giving up. Sure it doesn't have the payload or torque has some bigger trucks, but 8,000+ pounds is nothing to scoff at and it gets the job done.

I'll be there, will be bringing my boy. non-competitive.
