I know you obviously hunt 6a but do you happen to have any advice for 5b? Thank you take the 125 all the way to the 126 head north and glass the cuts up to the mesa. James

Ouch - I checked out the Spot Hogg. I wouldn't call that "budget friendly":) The Tru Glo sights are more what I am looking for. I see several that have a light on them. Is this a good feature? The TRUGLO Brite-Site Xtreme 5 Pin Sight With Light caught my eye as being very economical. The sight looks good, but I am leary because it is sooo cheap. Is there a Tru Glo model that you would recommend over the others? Thanks, Curt http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H4RP5W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER check this 1 out http://www.basspro.com/TRUGLO-Carbon-XS-Camo-Bow-Sight/product/10206449/ I used a truglo for a few years I now use a black gold RUSH James

tru glo is about the best budget friendly... unless he's a crack shot... I would wait to get him a 5 pin just yet...... make him earn it at the range. just my opinion.... you can set it up with a 3 pin 20 30 40 or 10 20 30. then move the box and go 30 40 50. James

great bull! congratulations to all! James

I would think callin a coyote or cat off a sure meal would be hard to do so I would say sit it. maybe if there is a vantage point to elevate and keep watch. anything is likely to come and feed on that thing. once they find it they will be back again and again til' it's gone. best bet is sit it first light for a few hours and maybe end your evening sitting it. I would rather make stands and keep on keepin' on. good luck! James

didn't they bow down to the anti crowd when newtown happened? then opened a parent company "field and stream" and sell the same AR type rifles they promised not to sell.... James -
nice job... you'll find now is some of the best callin as the young pups get the boot to fin for themselves! keep it up! James

I don't think broadheads fall under that category..... just because they cost more definitely does NOT mean they fly better out of my rig! many an animal has fallen to a cheap broadhead or a corelokt bullet... just no your limits. James

that's a cool story! sounds like a load of fun to me!. my favorite line: “The government spends thousands of dollars trying to kill coyotes every year,” he said, grinning. “I do it for free.” I would think that number in the hundreds of thousands. James
-
nice lob! figure the coyotes would be out in force after being holed up for a couple days. James

most people use dogs to entice them to come to the call. the videos I've seen they use smaller dogs so the coyotes feel they can whoop em up and they are lured back to the caller and get whacked. James

I call bs on the pup distress! that is my go to call at the end of alot of my sets! just because it's 120 deg out and kids see santa at the mall are they not going to want to sit santas lap regardless if it is July? what I'm saying is....mamma coyotes have that motherly instinct no matter what time of year it is. I will say you will call in more females than males with that call. James

I use the wash for clothes and scent free soap for showers.. I own a couple of scent lock outfits... actually very comfortable and quiet! I also try to spray down each time I go into the set. If it gives me even a 5% better chance it's worth it. I don't think you can ever get all the scent off but if I can get a little advantage I'll take it. I'm not as anal as some peaple (6Anut) LOL... I have had elk and deer very close and not spook down wind and I've also had them hit my scent and fly outta there like hussain bolt! LOL! even if it helps your confidence it's worth it to me. I can't afford the scent lock clothes for all my outfits but like I said they are comfortable! as far as coyotes goes if they come in downwind and don't spook they are young and dumb! James

good luck! hunker down... gonna be windy next couple days! James
