You can bet money that I will be killing a lion every year from now on! Hiking the country to go check one of my cameras this year I came face-to-face with a nice lion at about 20 yards. The lion was in a mine shaft on the bank of the wash that I was walking down, and I happened to look just in time to see the lion crouch so I wouldnt see it. I drew my side arm and waited in a Mexican stand off. The lion bolted after about 30 seconds. I had already filled my lion tag for the year, otherwise, I would have shot. multiple bag limits in some areas...just need another tag. James Unfortunately I wasn't in a unit were multiple bag limits apply, otherwise I'd have two lions for the year of 2013. that blows... send those pics to the officer in your unit... hope you get to smoke another 1. did you process the meat or give it away? looks like you have it narrowed down... now time to choose! LOL! you have obviously done research... now it's just all about what you want out of your hunt. everyone has there opinions on where and why.... I would not hunt in 10 because I may kill misses or under pressure or even video. way too many nightmare stories from there! I like to have a good time huntin... not stressed fighting with other hunters/guides! James

Since this was said and Brian made it pretty clear but still im little confused.. sorry.. so deer caine and all the gallon jugs of sweet stuff like buck jam are out correct?? unless the caine is powder or block form.? Man i sure saw a ton of it walking out the doors at cabela's and sportsmans in july/aug deer cane is NOT manufactured for the livestock industries...nor is buck jam or any of the other attractants although they may be salt based. pure salt of any kind, table salt- iodized salt, sea salt, pool salt, water softener salt, is ok... mineral blocks/ or granulated made for livestock industries are ok..... I saw plenty of violations in aug/sept including corn in 22 and 23. the warden even came up to my brother in law while he was sitting a spring ( not far from the road) looking to see if he was baiting and said he was giving out warnings... wonder if he found the feeder that was about 1/4 mile from where he was sitting that another hunter had placed there????
