it is a sickness and may be hard on your new marriage.... LOL! hope you get a chance at a good Illinois buck! all it took was 1 stalk on a spike elk and the addiction/sickness kicks in... LOL! James

James i like your location you wrote on the right picture. yeah, I just want them to feel real crappy when it gets jacked! I doubt they have a conscience though! James

go try them at the store... I tried the vortex and it is no bueno! it gave different yardages at the same object! cost was definitely a factor for me. I bought the leupold full draw it is super fast and consistent. I don't shoot long range and mostly only bow hunt so it fit what I do. the 1000i TBR is even better. would I like to have a leica... heck yeah, but not in my price range. James

funny how when they are talking to ya, she's talkin about how her day was and you are in a trance thinkin about hope.... hope I got a giant coues on trail cam! LOL! James So true.Lol So my wife tells me she has Friday off and asks me what are we going to do? I tell her I'm going to check cams remember I told you that last weekend? Wife: I don't remember that, you didn't tell me. me: Yes I told you about 3 times I was going on Fri. me: Want to go? She never wants to go and has never been. Wife: Ya i'll go. me: really? Lets see what happens and how long she lasts out there with the bugs flying around, she hates bugs. Lol I would marry my wife twice over again THAT SAME DAY if she said she wanted to come with me on a hunting or a scouting trip... I love her, bless her heart, but she'd never go. She does go fishing and likes to be out on the boat, so I consider that a win. my wife loves to go but doesn't like to hike the hills and hollers though.. I need to reward her with a big lake trip!.. LOL! James My wife went with me once. She had a blast. I took her to a few spots and she saw her first herd of elk. Got a few pictures to remember the occasion.... 268650_1402813768183_1767537243_655785_8049352_n.jpg that's the waterhole I saw that snake eat the waterdog... LOL! too cool! mine has seen alot with me too.... she likes to glass a little especially in the winter. she has even been my spotter on a couple stalks.. LOL! James -

trail cam rules: 1) don't hang it on water or your chances of it being stolen increase exponentially! especially not in a lock box. 2) don't hang it on MT Ord... it will disappear! sad! THIEVES SUCK!! James

I just thought I'd reiterate how great the service is at vortex! I have had my vortex viper 10x42 HD for about 2 months now. They are far superior to anything I have ever owned. Last week I lost the eye cup rain guard covers.... I emailed the fine people at vortex asking if I could purchase some as I didn't see them on their web page. Coleen, from vortex quickly responded with: Dear Mr. Walton, Thank you for choosing Vortex Optics, I am very happy to hear you love your binoculars. Did you lose the rain guard that covers the eyecups or the rubber eyecups themselves? I can get whichever you need in the mail today free of charge if you send your address. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions or concerns. Kind Regards, Colleen Casey Vortex Optics Customer Care VORTEX ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! James

you forgot the possibility of a P&Y rattler in your blind waiting for you and the chiggers that hop onto your ankles as you walk through the wet dewy grass on your way to your blind. Oh, and how your junk falls asleep when you sit on your tripod chair.. LOL! BRING IT! James -

I use Nap shrink wrap 2 inch vanes. I have some going on 2 years. no wavy vanes and easy to line up with your broad heads if you screw on the head before installing. not sure how they hold up to a biscuit though. I use a drop away. the Nap spin faster and are said to be a bit more accurate at longer yardage. James
