Bill cut back on the oil and just microwave the whole pack of tortillas wrapped in a couple of paper towels for 2 minutes and that makes them pliable enough to roll them around the meat. but the rest sounds right on. try it you'll never par cook in oil again. james

communication is the key..... whether she understands is a different story. My wife loves the outdoors and hunts a little but goes with quite often. I think she does it more for time we can spend together. that's why I love archery deer in AZ! alot of time can be spent afield if you plan ahead. I still have tag soup on a regular basis though! HAHA! I am putting a better plan together for next year though! December hunt I have had 4 blown stalks and a couple dry days of wind blowing and seeing nadda! That's the way it goes. Fill pot with water and add tag, salt and pepper to taste and if you don't have duck stamps on your 2011 hunting license throw that in too for added flavor!  James

to me more recoil = more flinch factor. So I'd go with the muzzle break if I'm shooting a big caliber rifle 300win mag, 7mm and so on. that's just me. But the loud bang is almost unbearable though ear protection is a must although you should wear it anyway. James

I'm in the saving mode now. had I originally done that I'd have some nice optics by now! think of it this way..... When you pay that much you only cry once! james

I agree! getting to your stand undetected is a big factor. I sometimes walk a half mile or so sometimes only a 100yds but trying to be quiet is a priority!

we do chrismas eve with the family sooo I don't even bother to ask. Christmas day is for the wife and I and she loves the outdoors! So got to go out for a little more than half the day yesterday and chase some muleys! Put a stalk on 1 and my wife got to watch me blow the stalk as usuall! haha! one time she will see it come together! T.J., family is above all is most important and hunting is a close second... so you hang at the house for a couple of days. that will just make you appreciate the time you do get to spend in the field and not take it or your wife for granted (not that you do). You have had a pretty great year from what I have read, be thankful for those times! Hope you had/have a great holiday and a Super New Years! James

I have never hunted out of a ground blind! But I would like to buy pop up type. If you were going to buy one, what brand name and camo color would you get? For bowhunting Coues deer? Thanks, Ron L camo is not the important thing if you are going to brush it in. you are going to completely cover it with brush/branches. the best thing about a ground blind it allows you to move without being seen thus making your time in the blind more bearable for sitting all day. if it is black inside... wear black, I learned that the hard way. look for something durable material wise. just feel all the ones they have set up at bass pro or cabelas you'll know. I like the 360 double bull, although I do not own 1 for fear of theives. the windows are adjustable up and down for inclines and the material is super tough. which ever one you chose make sure it is big enough. get inside and make sure you can draw a bow without slicing the walls with your broadheads. If you use mechanical broadheads you'll need to shoot with the widows open. good luck! James

I like cameras as much as I like Quads - Cameras are easier to steal - Lately I carry two really big magnets in may rock crawler I just hold them with the cameras in between , this erases the storage cards and the proprietary programing ,and makes the camera useless... - Anyone who goes wimpering off to the police/sheriff/game warden is compensating for being short somewhere!!! It wont be long before satellite surveillance will monitor every step we take out in the woods.... WAH WAH WAH call Big Brother because I cant deal with a punk on my own!  Wha Wha What a puss! why are you trying to downplay this so much, cant you just let him try to find out who did it? your jokes arent even funny, sounds like your trying to make him sound stupid. go post your jokes somewhere else, and if you called me out like that last sentence in the above quote? you'd be gettin your fight +1 Only an idiot handles matters that way! This ain't the wild west! You sound like an A S S every time you post! You're more like Blaster than master! My cams are marked with name and phone # if you can find them! james
