I leave mine up while hunting from it, but when I go home it goes with me! didn't someone just get their trailer stolen from their truck while they were quail hunting? Soon there will be a crime of passion! and the thief will deserve every bit of it! sorry they stole your blind! unfortunately thieves are in every part of the world. james

Strangest thing that has ever came into your call???
JLW replied to lionhunter's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
I have called in a heard of about 20 cow elk with a pup distress... I thought the lead cow was gonna stomp my caller. also had a cow elk pop up and start barking at me from about 80yds. had hawks swoop my head... actually had to duck. seem to call up mule deer on a regular basis, especially when it's windy! had about 12 does come charging out of a big wash! they came to about 10 yds! I could actually hear them calling back real faint! my brother in-law didn't believe me so next time we were in this area it was windy and we dropped over the ridge and started a doe bleat... within 5 min a doe pops up calling back to us from 25 yds! james -

That is not what he said. He said he believes that some people will voice in public that it wrong to steal and vandalize but when no one is looking they swipe a camera. That is not what he said look at the context in which he wrote it. His reference is that ( Well, looks like a lot of people are out there( i.e. public land) doing this ( stealing and vandalizing) and A LOT( meaning a large part of the action) of it has to be from other hunters who condemn it on a thread. ) His thought is represented pretty clear and is ignorant. I read it as: people on the forum condemn the actions of vandalizing/stealing, not the practice of using cameras! Guilty conscience? We all know it's the cornbagger competitive jerks some of whom are probably on here! james

pretty sure that mountain lions will eat whatever they can catch. if there are a lot of deer their diet will reflect so, if there are lots of rabbits it will surely dine on rabbits. I saw one at big lake with a squirrel in it's mouth. Near Haigler creek they had a few lions running around and the fawn survival of the CWT in the general area was pretty low due to a couple of lions. While drought is the major factor you can't say they don't affect the deer/antelope/big horn in some areas. While it was a young lion that was taken, it didn't hurt the Arizona lion population by any means. Congrats to the hunter! james

I am putting these on here for a friend. they are santa cruz gun locks for mounting in a vehicle. they were bought at an auction. http://www.santacruzgunlocks.com/locks/universal.html not sure what model they are as they do not have a model # on them. should fit a rifle or shotgun and are adjustable. they have a key to the lock but you can also wire them to your vehicle to a switch. there are 2 of them. $25 each James 480-212-3670
