If you are talking about the spring that starts at the old metal feeder and runs through the grass, then I know what you are talking about. Someone has left their treestand up since the winter hunt. The Wilderness is a LONG ways from there but you can't get your S10 Blazer in there, trust me. It is barely a quad trail! It is 8 more miles into the Wilderness boundary. There is water all through there and all the tanks were rebuilt this summer. yes thats the 1 i have maps but as it looks like the hiking trail starts not far from chambelain trail so i thought they would close it to vehicles. guess thats wrong. i new the wilderness was quite a bit further and i've hiked in a ways from the south thanks for the info! i thought i would keep talking to myself james

i know there are no deer but....... startinig by haigler creek I was wondering how far past gordon's canyon does the wilderness trail start? my tonto map doesn't show it as a road but a trail. we walked maybe a 1/2 mile from gordons canyon and could see quad tracks well past the canyon. i was in my lowriden wish i hadn't bought 05'expedition but i think i can make it back a ways in my s10 blazer any info would be much appreciated! james

i found a sweet spot but someone beat me to it. a spring trickles down to where 4 washes/canyons come together. go back to set up my camera someone already has a perfect set up. salt lick camera tree stand all set up where several game trails come together if this is somebody on here they got a picture of me walking through your stuff is still safe good luck on your hunt! i'll keep looking in there somewhere. i have asked this same question.... 2 years ago i sat a blind set up that morning @ 0 dark 30 but i was skylined too much and had 0 sucsess i had bucks comming in on camera every day usually late morning. i believe had i not been skylined and brushed it in better things would have went down differently. last year; after 4 years of striking out ;i shot a spike on opening day( 1st deer ever) meanwhile my brother-inlaw had built a blind out of brush and logs 3 weeks before and cut some fresh openig day him and his partner saw 8 bucks opening mornig but never conected. i believe brushing it in well is the answer most people will give whether 3 weeks pryor or the day of. good luck! james
