I don’t understand how baiting is illegal but sitting over water is allowed. Doesn’t seem to be much difference between them. This change would definitely drive success rates down and help with quotas.

Baiting should be legal.   Mule deer don’t come to bait very well anyway, it doesn’t make much difference.

why would you want to drive success rates down?  That seems like no fun.  Go kill a deer and have some fun with the kids.

Looking for advice from previous hunters. My 14 year old son drew an either or tag for mule deer or Coues in Arizona unit 23. He is diligently saving his money for his own binoculars and last year purchased his own rifle and scope. He wants to know if the Coues potential is better than the mulie potential or visa versa. He has taken a small Coues and a cow elk in Arizona. He is so pumped and I think I’m just as excited as well as I’ve spent the last 10 years hunting vicariously through my children and loving every memory we’ve created with he and his older brothers. Thanks for the input

In 23, muleys will be easier to locate than whitetail.   While it is a great whitetail unit, they will just be harder to locate and kill.

my son has drawn that tag twice, he shot both a muley and a whitetail in that unit.

So for those of you who bought the Schnee new, do they stretch out like typical leather boots ?  Mine came in today, the left feels pretty good walking around the house, the right is a  bit tight due to an old toe injury. I bought 10 W which is what I wear in every other boot/shoe.  Not sure if I need to go up a 1/2 size due to them being European made?

If you exchange them, I’d move quickly, at that price they will sell out quickly, if you got the ones on sale.

So, the above post was a question?  I don’t want to muck  the boots up to where I can’t exchange them.  If they stretch slightly like my Danners always did I’ll be ok, but I don’t want to end up with a pair  that’s too tight at that price point.   Bojangles? Yours loosen up ok?

Mine fit pretty well out of the box.  I’ve only got a couple miles on mine so far, but they are pretty snug.  Time will tell. The rubber rand may keep them from stretching too much.  I got these boots because my last boots were a half size too small, but were the only option for a last minute hunt.  It was all good until I had to hike down a steep hill, my toe kept smashing into the front of the boot, and ripping up my toenails.
so having a pair of boots that fit is a breath of fresh air.  I’m confident my issue with pressure on the outside of my foot can be fixed with a new insole if it persists.

  5. I tested them out last night on a 3 mile walk on some pavement.
I am impressed by the build quality. They are lightweight, but seem super super tough and sturdy. I might wind up going with a different insole, however, because this insole is stiff, and it puts too much pressure on the outside of my foot. I’ve had a lot of high-end shoes do that, and I’ve just corrected the problem by changing out the insole.

Nice buck !! Glad it worked  out and you were  able to find the buck. Wish I could  shoot  a group at 80 that was half as good  as yours .

    Thank you…that’s very kind.

it wasn’t ideal, but I was thankful it worked out too.
